We went and ate for my birthday dinner and ordered a bottle of wine and the wait staff and everyone was super friendly. Owner came out and spoke to everyone but us, so guess we were not on his preferred list, but I could care less.

Very small restaurant tucked away in a shopping center. The inside, is kind of cozy, but old looking. We were seated right away but service was slow, for such a small place I'd expect faster. 10 minutes for drinks, even longer for some of the food. Sure it's pricey b/c it's a touristy area but the value wasn't really there.... More

Stiegler's is an elegant locale and fun place to visit. Peter Stiegler is an excellent chef. Anything we have had is well prepared. If you get the soup it is made from scratch, including the soup stock. We had celery root. Excellent. This time we only had snacks and drinks at the bar. The place is pretty pricey, but you... More

My husband and I had a delightful time dining at Stiegler's. Service, ambiance, and food were all seamless and wonderful without being stiff and snobbish. The ambiance seems more "formal" compared to others in this ski town in winter time, but it's actually warm and cozy. We learned the background of the place and its owner, who walked around and... The setting is typical Austrian. Some of the dishes, too. The Wiener Schnitzel is like in Austria, the Apfelstrudel, too. We have been often to Austria, and this is as good as it gets in the US. Some of the entrees are done for the American tastebuds, but all in all, the real deal. The Apfelstrudel was the best we... More

Small restaurant in a small town. Wouldn't make it in an urban area. Don't let them seat you near the kitchen. The door bangs every time someone goes through it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Stiegler's. The service was warm and friendly as well as competent. The food was delicious. There were tablecloths and candles. The decor was warm and very typical of an Austrian restaurant. The prices, not cheap, were not out of line with other comparable establishments. We will return when in Jackson.

To the person who stated that this is a German restaurant, shame on you... It's Austrian and clearly proudly so. Congratulations to Mr Stiegler for a wonderful meal in a wonderful environment. Great range of choices, creative subtle flavours, good wine list, and warm professional service. We loved it.

Everything is right about Stieglers: food, ambiance and service. Every ski trip needs a grand Austrian or Swiss ski experience and this place hits the ball out of the park. They had as a special their chicken dumpling and oh so good! Service was first rate and while prices are high for what you get they are fair. I'm sorry... More

This holiday season, we celebrated our family's past travels through Germany, Austria and Switzerland through decorations, gifts and customs, and our special evening out at Stiegler's was the icing on the cake. While I was enjoying the best wiener schnitzel this side of Salzburg, my husband raved about his dinner, and our daughter and son-in-law revisited happy memories over jagertee.... More
