Description: The idea for The Kitchen came from a vision of a restaurant that would...
The idea for The Kitchen came from a vision of a restaurant that would provide something different - a refined, yet casual establishment that would provide modern cuisine with a comforting twist. The cuisine at The Kitchen embraces various culinary techniques and ingredients including all natural meats, seasonal vegetables, and sustainable, fresh fish. The presentation is clean, simple and natural. The beautiful and elegant architecture of the building mirrors the concepts in the food. Purchased in June 2005, the old A-frame structured house was renovated to create a space with award-winning design and remarkable ambiance. The modern yet comforting theme led to the bamboo bar and tables, the luminescent eco-panel wave of light, and natural color scheme. An open kitchen design allows for greater connection with guests and offers a personalized experience. Enjoy a large outdoor deck during the long summer nights or sit by the warm fireplace in winter.

the Kitchen was cooking

Unique menu and food flavors. We ordered the fried oysters rockefeller and scallop appetizers and steak and pork chop entrees. I wanted to try something off the crudo bar, but we stuck with the appetizers. Entrees were filling and we probably should have just split one.

We went to the Kitchen for Christmas dinner, and we were not disappointed. The service was very good and the food was yummy! The menu was somewhat varied, and even though it was crowded, we were never made to feel rushed!

Had a nice evening at The Kitchen on a post Christmas ski trip. Once inside the door, you could almost forget that you are in a small town as this place has more of a big city feel. The interior is softly lit and the curved walls have white fabric that gives the room a modern tented look (might sound... More

The service was very poor on the evening we were at Kitchen. The waitress seemed to "forget" drinks, appetizers, etc. The food seemed overly spicy - as if trying to mask inferior ingredients. We specifically mentioned that we did not eat pork and ordered accordingly. When 2 of our entrees came, however, they had "forgotten" to omit the pork from... More

This is always a favorite as there are so many interesting choices. A great place to try a variety of things with a group of people. Busy, can be noisy, with good service and a very good wine list reasonably priced.

Got a ton of recommendations from locals on The Kitchen and, needless to say, they were spot on!!! Had the Luxury Shrimp and Hamachi apps - both were great. I would have to say the seafood risotto was amazing and the champ of the dinner entrees. The service was outstanding - Hanna was one of the best servers we had... More

We went for dinner last night and had an amazing meal. We ordered several appetizers - the crudo of the day was a tuna, and it was fabulous. The seared scallops were also delicious as were the lamb cheeks. But the star of the show was the pork belly/lobster sliders - OMG! We want to go back today and have... More

As an Asian, I normally can't stand Asian-Fusion cuisine and find it insulting...until now. I was on a "business" trip and everything was paid for by our generous hosts whom rented out the entire space for a private dinner that included lots of tasting of the menu items: Luxury Shrimp...yum! Japanese Fried Chicken...yum! Grilled Romaine Salad...I hate salads normally...but I... More

This place is cozy and was very busy with special $12.00 meals the night we arrived. They were fundraising for different groups. We had to sit at the bar area but were not disappointed. The food is creative, very tasty, and the staff super friendly. We would definitely go back. I happened to chat with one of the chefs and... More
