My husband and I shared a BBQ plate with smoked turkey, brisket, pulled pork, and babyback ribs, for sides we had fried green tomatoes and baked corn. We got homemade chips for free, the homemade sauce was all delicious and the BBQ was the best we've ever had...and we've eaten BBQ in Memphis, Kansas City, Texas...all over the place really.... More

I enjoy Pokey's brisket. It's my favorite. My kids like all the wing options. We all love the salad bar! I also appreciate that it's smoke free!

Have eaten at Pokey's for several years. Will not go to Gillette without eating there. The service is the best, the owner is great, the atmosphere is great. I would recommend the Brisket to anyone.

We stopped for lunch. I had a pulled pork sandwich which had no flavor and was almost cold. The potato salad was very bland. I couldn't finish it. My husband had the brisket, and was disappointed with it as well. It had large pieces of fat. We could have had a better lunch at a fast food restaurant.

We were traveling through Gillette and stopped for the night. It was about 8:00 and we were tired and hungry. We decided to stop at Pokey's based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating; the food was very good and served quickly; great salad bar. The corn bread was impressive because it's... More

We arrive in Gillette at 7:30PM and checked into our hotel. We asked for some food suggestions, but decided just to check out all of the places on South Douglas Hwy. We drove by Pokey's twice before deciding that this was the place. It was an excellent choice as I had the pulled pork with a side of baked beans... More

My family and I got the BBQ for 2, which is ultimately a pretty good deal at $33. The first thought I had when I took a bite of the ribs was.... wow, this tastes just like a sparkler would taste on the 4th of July. It had an almost sulfery after-taste. Maybe it was just me. Of course, the... More

Had lunch with five other men. A good sandwich for a fast food restaurant. The building is air conditioned which was a must in Gillette, being it was 96 out doors.
