A real cowboy breakfast

Delicious breakfast. Nothing fancy but a good 'ol fashioned stick to your ribs breakfast. Don't skip the elk sausage.

We spent one night in Dubois on our way to Jackson Hole. The staff at the motel suggested we eat there, said the food was very good. It was two doors down from our motel and since the temperature was in the single digits we were able to quickly walk over without getting too cold. The place is very rustic... More

We always stop in for a burger or pie on our trips to Jackson. The food is always good and the staff are super friendly. The pies are tremendous.

We were so looking forward to stopping in to the cowboy cafe to get the delicious pie we had gotten the last few times we came to town to visit relatives. Being in Dubois for thanksgiving, we headed over to cowboy for pie and coffee. What a disappointment. The pie was not good at all. Had a different look and... More

The waiter was very nice with prompt service. The food was good & so were their pies. The interior was sorta of old.

We recently drove from Denver to Glacier National Park following the AAA Guide Books for food and lodging. This restaurant was listed so we stopped....what a great find!! The place was very busy during the lunch hour....locals and out of towners. Service was fast and friendly, food was fantastic.....big portions of home cooking at reasonable prices. We were too full... More

I recently stayed in Dubois for a week and ate at the Cowboy Cafe a few times. The breakfast was good, I thoroughly enjoyed elk sausage in my omlette. The red chili was delicious for lunch and the burgers will definitely fill you up. Don't forget some pie for dessert, homemade and delicious. We got some to go one evening... More

We were traveling from West Yellowstone via US287, and "happened" upon Dubois and when passed in front of Cowboy Cafe, we made a block to find a place to park...looked at the reviews on TA and "jumped in the doors with 4 empty bellies!! This is a place that feeds hungry hunters and lumberjacks...or hungry people who are traveling from... More

This is your basic, no frills small town breakfast & lunch joint with only 10 tables. Breakfast is on till 2pm. Service is very fast & friendly, and the two breakfasts I had their were just right. Good bacon; not the best coffee in town, but the prices are right. Don't freak out if half of the patrons on any... More

We enjoyed several of our dinners at the Cowboy Cafe. I did not end up liking the buffalo burger very much, but the chicken fried steak was really good. The moose drops (fried cheese curds) were really good. A couple of people in our party tried their hamburger steaks and really liked them.
