Since our children were tiny (now in their 20s) the Cowboy has been a favorite of our family. When given a choice of where to eat, they always choose the Cowboy. Friendly staff, fun food. When they were little they ordered moose drops, it took a while to come so the waitress said she would have to go out back... More

I have to say this place is pretty amazing. The wait staff are wonderful down home folks. The turn-around time on orders was fast. It is truly a "mom and pop" establishment. The best part is the food. I had dinner and breakfast and both were awesome.

Snowmobiling works up quite and appetite and all 6 of us adult men were more than satisfied each time we stopped in. We ate here for lunch, dinner, and then breakfast over two days. Burgers are great at lunch, Chicken Fried Steak for dinner, Berry Pies after dinner, and Cowboy breakfast was awesome! Great place and very friendly, helpful, funny... More

The Cowboy Café is a Dubois landmark, why - great food, very good service, and friendly staff. These folks could write the manual on how to succeed in the restaurant business.

Stopped here on our way to Missouri from togwotee and the breakfast was delicious. Elk sausage had a nice kick and the Buffalo sausage was something we can't get back home. The pancakes are huge and fluffy. Waitresses was fast and really friendly. Our drinking glasses never got empty!

What a great find. We enjoyed our stuffed Trout dinner at our street side table so much we returned breakfast the next morning. Nice people and great food. What more can you ask for. If you are looking for fancy this may not be for you, but if you are looking for great food it is a must.

I'm not a big fan of big restaurant breakfasts, unless I'm in DuBois at the Cowboy Cafe. Take the family and have one of the best breakfasts you can get. Haven't been there for lunch or dinner, but if it's half as good as breakfast, you'll clean your plate without being told.

We were traveling through DuBois over lunchtime and randomly picked Cowboy Cafe. Small and nothing fancy, but cute western decor. I was excited when I checked Tripadvisor after we sat down and noticed that Cowboy Cafe was ranked #1. I ordered the lunch special, stroganoff and my husband had the country fried steak...both were awesome. The prices seemed slightly high... More

Good food, and always crowded, which tells the whole story. Normally, one doesn't have to wait more than a minute or two to be seated.
