In past visits we have really enjoyed the Irma; this time the place was filthy, the staff was surly, and the food was awful. Never again, no matter how historic it is.

We saw the gun show at The Irma hotel. It was free, but I suggest you pay $2 for an assigned seat. That way you're not standing up or trying to find an open section of the curb. The booth for the assigned seats is right by the hotel. We also ate the prime rib buffet. It was very good,... More

The Irma Cafe has been in Cody, WY since the time of Buffalo Bill Cody. The decor is rustic, open. and well lighted. The original massive bar and back mirror (Cherry wood?) are against the west wall, booths along the east wall, and with tables in the open area between. There are numerous (scores) of animal mounts high on the... More

Good portions, reasonably priced, right in the hotel and next to the action! The action being the shoot out that happens on the road next to the large porch. You don't need to purchase anything to watch the shootout.

We didn't eat or stay at the Irma but I would say you definitely should check out this famous hotel and restaurant if in the area because of the history behind it. The staff were very friendly and even let us tour the upstairs area and rooms.

Great atmosphere in the main dining room. Excellent prime rib but make sure to get the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. For lunch the Reuben sandwich was amazing. With a gunfight at 6pm every day in the summer what more to ask?

The Irma is a grand old lady in downtown Cody. Antler chandeliers and a beautiful old bar. The food is great. This is beef country so try one of the famous Reuben Sandwiches. Everything about the Irma is just plain fascinating.

If you love history you will love the Irma.. Historical. Great rooms. Stayed in the hotel that is the newer section really enjoyed my stay and my free breakfast. Food is really nice. The gift shop has a great selection of clothing and purses, higher priced but a different unique selection.
