*warning* Fine dining

I really wish it was easier to tell what kind if restaurant you are going into. I read the reviews... I expected good food. I didn't expect fine dining. Do not go here if you've been on the road all day in a redneck T-shirt and a messy bun. You will stick out like a sore thumb. The food was... read more

The salad bar is always a winner with plenty of toppings. My favorite dish is the Cajun Chicken Linguine. If you're looking for a romantic atmosphere, I'd recommend Poor Richard's.

This is quite possibly the most over-rated restaurant in Cheyenne. The folks who work there are good, but the food seldom reaches above average. And this is not a one visit review. I've lived in Cheyenne 25 years and have had several meals there during that time. I don't remember a single one as significantly good. For those who find... More

This is one of the worst! Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated by pleasant staff. Thant's the good part. However...... the drinks were watered down, perhaps even used cheaper liquor ( couldn't really taste the liquor so couldn't be sure). The bread served was hard and tasteless and the salad bar had few choices of dressing ( the 1,ooo... More

It had been many years since eating here but when I stepped through the door it felt like it did 25 years ago, warm and welcoming. The decor and layout is the same, but well maintained. The sameness was comforting, like stepping back in time. The salad bar is still great, except the croutons were far too hard. That was... More

We were passing thru Cheyenne and needed a place to stop for supper. After combing thru the trip advisor suggestions, we opted for this one. It was delicious. The service was very good, the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was nice too. We'll go again.

Poor Richards has always excelled at serving a varied menu at a fair price with good service, something you can not say for very many restaurants anywhere. Cheyenne is lucky to have a chef like Michael Rauzi and a restaurateur like his mother, Cassie Rauzi, who together lead a staff of fine professionals. It is consistently the best restaurant in... Creative menu, cozy atmosphere, great service and VERY delicious food. Located 1 mile from downtown but was worth the drive. We would definitely return to the charming restaurant.

My husband and Inreturned yesterday (25th July) from a road trip to Wyoming and Colorado. Dinner at Poor Richards provided a superb last dinner in the U.S. The service was top notch and the quality of the food was exceptional. We shared crab cakes and pot stickers as a starter, which were scrumptious. We both had fillet mignon which was... More

Our family came here two nights in a row and loved both meals. The highlight was our server, Curtis, who really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was also excellent. The menu choices were impressive--steaks, seafood and much more. I had a wonderful prime rib one night and an even more... More
