This is the real deal. Location is great. Food is good. Service is genuine Wyoming kind. Bull nuts are on the menu. Otherwise, you will get a lot of good food - a LOT of good food. Gotta stop here. :-)

The visitor's center recommend this restaurant and I'm glad that they did. I tried the chicken fried steak and I think it is the best that I have had the pleasure to eat - even a little better than my mother used to cook and I didn't think anyone could beat her recipe.

Great historic place in Cheyenne. I had the prime rib. It was very good. The service was outstanding. Mature, professional staff that really seemed to value their customers.

Great home cooked food and great prices. Staff is hospitable and it is easy to find this historical restaurant.

Enjoyed a great 12-oz prime rib dinner with salad & side dish. Meat was very lean and well prepared. BEWARE of the horse radish ... when they say "atomic," they mean it. The house salad dressing was also very tasty. Spouse ordered pork chops but found them to be very dry. Service was great and prices very reasonable. Would do... More

Visited here with the family while staying in Cheyenne. The restaurant is opposite the visitor's centre and behind the Wrangler department store on the East Lincoln Highway. The business is family owned and split into three parts, with the liquor store in one entrance, the restaurant in the middle and the bar at the far end. It was busy when... More

Ate here for dinner the first night of a 2-night stay in Cheyenne. I had the mountain trout with cajun seasoning which was fine and my partner had the rueben sandwich which she was disappointed in. The bread was soggy and the taste was pretty bland from her perspective. The waitress was very prompt and checked in on us several... More

I have visited the Albany nearly every time I breeze threw Cheyenne. I have never been blown away here but I have always had reliably good service and good food. The prime rib and horseradish is good and the beers on tap are good too. Check it out if you want the best in Cheyenne bar food.

This is true home style cooking, the freshly cooked roast turkey with real mashed potatoes and their own gravy is a Thanksgiving meal on any cold day. It is a definite relief from chain restaurants and evokes old Cheyenne as soon as you step in the door.

I haven't been here in a LONG time but I'm glad I returned. This is one of those "local restaurants" that serves simple, real good food in an atmosphere that reflects the town it represents. The décor is mostly wooden bench booths with back and white photos on the wall which records the development of Cheyenne. Very warm and nostalgic... More
