Prime Rib and horseradish

I have visited the Albany nearly every time I breeze threw Cheyenne. I have never been blown away here but I have always had reliably good service and good food. The prime rib and horseradish is good and the beers on tap are good too. Check it out if you want the best in Cheyenne bar food.

This is true home style cooking, the freshly cooked roast turkey with real mashed potatoes and their own gravy is a Thanksgiving meal on any cold day. It is a definite relief from chain restaurants and evokes old Cheyenne as soon as you step in the door.

I haven't been here in a LONG time but I'm glad I returned. This is one of those "local restaurants" that serves simple, real good food in an atmosphere that reflects the town it represents. The décor is mostly wooden bench booths with back and white photos on the wall which records the development of Cheyenne. Very warm and nostalgic... More

Stopped in today for our first visit as was recommended from a few locals. The place had some old west charm, the lunch was ok but not great and probably not a place I would try again if there add other places to try since I do not live in Cheyenne. The fellow for our wait staff today seemed a... More

Having grown up in Cheyenne, I've known about the Albany Club my whole life. It started in 1942, quite a few years before I was started. However, during the past 30 years, on my trips back to visit family in Cheyenne, the Albany has been pretty much off my radar. Decided to stop in tonight for dinner and a beer.... More

The Albany has a great history in Cheyenne. The daily specials are always great and my favorite is the prime rib sandwich with a side salad with greek dressing!! I definately recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner!

It probably was a good place awhile ago but it felt like they stopped trying. Ordered burger and sweet potato fries. Burger was over cooked, bun was generic, fries were okay. No one greets you when you come in, they allow employees to smoke immediately outside the front door just a tired old place in desperate need of new energy.... More

Had the chef's special of polenta and chicken, yum! The polenta was smooth and creamy with a nice tomato sauce, the chicken was cooked just right. I could have just eaten the polenta and sauce by itself. They try to make as much from scratch as possible and it shows in flavor and dinning enjoyment.

What an excellent and charming restaurant. Great local character and one of the best lunches I've ever had! Wonderful atmosphere, can't wait to go back! I had the French Dip sandwich and it was awesome!

If I could give a zero I would! Just "dined" at the Albany where we have gone for 40 years. We try to support local restaurants. We ordered the "house special" prime rib very rare as we always do and was medium to well at best plus fat and grizzle so asked for the owner who declared it was med.... More
