We tried Mitchell's BBQ for the first time at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Wow....That was $10 well spent. The ribs were really tasty, meaty (no waste practically) and just falling apart. Awesome. Love this place!

The people that work there are very friendly and you instantly feel right at home. You order at the counter, get your number and find a seat, and when your food it ready they bring it to over. Best things that we tried: Great southern style collard greens seasoned with smoked meat and an added kick. The baked beans were... More

This has got to be one of the best bbq places we have ever laid our tongues upon! The best tastin' catfish, okra, and hush puppies! We are southern food connoisseurs and have lived most of our lives in the south. You will not be disappointed! Atmosphere was awesome as well!! Bluesy style with good old Jimi playing some jams!... My husband and I ate at Mitchells for lunch during Cheyenne's frontier rodeo days, it was a nice small local owned business with friendly staff. I ordered the sloppy hog plate (BBQ sandwich topped with slaw) & baked beans & potato salad. I was wanting dry BBQ so I could add my own sauce but Mitchells serves theirs with sauce... More

I went to Mitchell's with high hopes of finding good BBQ -- a mecca in the sense of BBQ. All I found was disappointment due to disillusioned reports of great BBQ in Cheyenne! Folks, if you think this is good BBQ -- you need to get out more, consider traveling and finding good BBQ elsewhere. Price was also costly considering... More

While road-tripping in Wyoming, my nephew checked TripAdvisor listings for lunch and found Mitchell's was highly recommended. The reviewers were right on target! Mitchell's is in view of the State Capitol and is a small place where you place your order 1st and then take a seat and they'll bring the food to you. The afternoon we were there it... More

We have eaten at Mitchell's before and the meals and service was good. ate there last night and the best part of the meal was the Dr .Pepper. The service was bad ,it was not busy the server got the orders wrong and laughed about it, had the wrong sides with the main entrée ,she didn't even offer to take... More

Stopped here on our trip around the mid west because we always like to try the local BBQ's in different areas of the country. The BBQ here was excellent, I had the brisket & ribs the wife had pulled pork and brisket, all were great. The sides were also good but the meat was the star of the meal for... More

Great food, some sides are kind of small as far as serving size, but the BBQ is fantastic. Sweet with just enough spice. We've gone here time and time again! Love the hush puppies.

It's basically the only real BBQ in Cheyenne and was rated highly on tripadvisor (Steamboats is not a real BBQ place in my opinion and I would not go back there again either). I had the Slawpy Hog sandwich which I would probably not order again because at $7+ for the sandwich by itself, it really wasn't worth it. The... More
