Ranked #50 of 156 restaurants in Cheyenne
Cuisines: American
Description: Family owned restaurant that's been operating since the 1940's. Down home, tasty food in a comfortable atmosphere. Lots of variety, large portions, reasonable prices, attentive service without hovering. Can be crowded at lunch and on weekends, but waits are seldom over 20 minutes. Famous for their slow roasted prime rib. Steaks are very good also. I prefer their pan fried pork chops (thick and juicy). If you're looking for good food at a good value, The Albany is the place in Cheyenne.

The Albany was recommended to me by a local bookstore merchant and he was right on. Best red trout I've ever eaten! The place is an old tavern with friendly service and reasonable prices.

We stopped in Cheyenne, Wy. just to look around. We walked by this restaurant and on a whim stopped for lunch. Service and food were excellent. Wish it was closer to home. Don't miss it if you are in Cheyenne.

Had a nice dinner here - prime rib sandwich and NY steak both very good, and ample portions. Good service and chow. Very popular with the local folks.

Happy food, cold beer, friendly servers! We got the last home-made Caramel Cream Puff to share for dessert. This place clearly care about its customers and enjoys taking care of them. I was sorry they were closed on Mother's Day! We tourists ended up eating across the way at The Shadows--what a mistake!

Prices are reasonable and service is good and friendly. Menu is varied and food is only average but still worth a visit. Like the atmosphere with Old West photos decorating the walls.

The Albany has the best Breakfast Burrito in town on Saturdays for lunch. The servers are always very friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

My wife and I ate there during the week if Nov 25-Dec 1. She suffered horrible food poisoning and is still trying to recover. We threw out the food we purchased to eat later. Not fit for human or animal consumption.

Nice people, cute bar, large selection on the menu. The food was decent and the beer was cold. Only had one meal there, but would go back.

More bar than restaurant. 50 minutes to get our food. Paid $22 for an average steak. The menu looked good for someone who had been traveling for two days but it was downhill from there.

This local restaurant has been around a long time. It has a casual feel with old wood booths and tables, low light, and old pictures from Cheyenne and Wyoming. My wife and I ate simply--French dip and grilled tuna melt on rye. The dip was average but the fries were excellent. The tuna melt had a good portion of tuna... More
