Second time there while visiting Cheyenne. This time our daughter and son in law took us to hear the band as well. Great steak dinners and cooked right. Loved the whole atmosphere and hospitality. Very friendly staff and Band which played our requests. Be sure you try the homemade pies! Coconut Crème.

The only reason I am not giving this restaurant/bar a five is because there is a smoking area inside(bar area) The food was absolutely amazing. My husband had a combination plate of pork, ribs and brisket served coleslaw, potato salad and beans. My son and I had the bunkhouse burger; I had a salad with an amazing vinaigrette dressing for... Wow! We must have been here on an off day, given all the wonderful reviews. I ordered chicken fried steak. It comes with mashed potatoes. Plate arrived and potatoes were ice cold. They hadn't been heated at all. The wait person seemed perplexed because he said the potatoes had just been made. He took them to be reheated - and... More

We came here for lunch and were pleased that we could order from the lunch menu and order steaks from the dinner menu. The food was amazing!!!!!!! The beef wellington was awesome...prime rib was huge..and ribs were top notch. Both the atmosphere and the staff were awesome!!! I would definitely recommend stopping here if heading to Cheyenne.

Let's get something clear right away. You want fine dining? This ain't the place. You want a wine list? Ditto. Don't like secondhand cigarette smoke? Move down the road. What you get here is well prepared steaks and burgers. My filet was perfectly seared and cooked and the potato was perfect. I love the sauteed mushrooms they top all their... More

My husband and I stopped in after traveling all day from Florida. We LOVED it! The food was excellent (best burger I've ever had), atmosphere was quaint and cozy, patrons (locals) were very friendly and the bartender and owner couldn't have been more helpful and kind (forgive me I cannot remember your names but VERY nice women!!). Thank you for... More

I love this place. During the summer My friends and I motorcycle out to have a cold beer and grab a bite at the bar. Love to visit with the locals and regulars that always seem to be there, but that's only where the appreciation for the Bunkhouse begins. The dinner in the evenings and the live country music on... We were driving through and asked in town where to eat for local flavor. This place was recommended, so we drove out. It was 15 or so miles from town. I wasn't real comfortable eating here after I saw it, but after driving that far we thought we would give it a try. I asked if they use local beef... More

My husband wanted to check this restaurant/bar out for the rocky mountain oysters, which were excellent. It had a real cowboy atmosphere and a house band that played great old country music, but not too loud, very friendly wait staff, and overall great food. They have a separate room for non-smoking, but you do get a little secondhand smoke. Great... More

This place has the best smoked meats around, they cook it right on site. The walls are lines with great outlaw reward posters, the atmosphere is friendly and entertaining. They have separate rooms for smoking and non-smoking which in Wy. you usually don't find. The sandwiches and sides are tasty and filling. You won't go hungry here.A real hidden gem
