Great place to eat in Cheyenne

Because this is in Cheyenne, we gave it 5 stars. It is a great find. Lovely location in an old downtown home. Charming and lovely hostess. Very good wait staff. The food was great and a welcome surprise on our cross country driving trip. The duck was very good, rare but a bit chewy. The shrimp and... read more

Tried the shrimp and grits. Others in my party had the scallops entree and the rabbit entree. The food was o.k. Some of the sauce was unique. However, 4 entrees plus a couple of starters, no alcohol and the bill was approximately $180. I'll never be back. Maybe it's too sophisticated for my average Joe lifestyle ?

While on buisness in Cheyenne, our group went for dinner at the Morris House Bistro. It is understandable how it go the #1 rating on Trip Advisor. The restaurant is currently (and very tastefully) celebrating Mardi Gras. There is a special menu for the occasion, along with their regular menu. The restaurant setting is in a refurbished, charming old home.... More

Not only do these fellows bring to Cheyenne a cuisine that is completely missing locally, it is of a quality well above the usual in town. Have never had a bad experience here, and intend to return frequently but far too often I forget to make reservations and then don't. Great date locale; love to take my husband here for... More

I've been blessed to enjoy low country cuisine in some real low country places - Charleston, Savannah and others. But the best low country I know is right here in my home town. This is the best restaurant in Cheyenne, hands down. But it may well be the best low country restaurant anywhere.

We had the most wonderful meal at Morris House Bistro, home of Ester Morris the leading campaigner for obtaining the vote in 1869 in Wyoming. Atmospheric eating (we ate in her bedroom) of first class food. My lamb melted from the bone, my partner's catfish meowed into his mouth. We usually can only manage a main meal but the delightful... Who knew that 'oysters come home' .. Well they do here in spectacular style. This take on fried oysters is well... Outstanding! Everything from the she-crab soup to the shrimp and grits has a southern drawl. Chef Dameione's South Carolina roots have been a foodie blessing to Cheyenne. The menu is seasonal, and the locals are sure to book ahead... More

This restaurant is located in the Victorian house of the first female jurist in the United States. The food was good. I enjoyed the she crab soup and my husband liked the frog legs. The fried bread was delicious and the cranberry tart was great. The shrimp and grits had plenty of shrimp but few grits while the crab cakes... More

We had wanted to eat here last year, but could not book on the one night we were in Cheyenne. This time I called about two weeks before our trip and snagged a table for five in their second seating, about seven p.m. We were seated in a cozy room that accommodated another two couples. Our server promptly brought us... More
