Wine and appetizers on the patio

We had wine and appetizers with our friends in Cheyenne on the patio at the Morris House Bistro. The owner I think is from South Carolina so there is some Southern influence in some of the dishes. We had the crab cakes, pulled pork brochette and a cheese plate with wine. All were excellent. The... read more

So we called on a Saturday night for a late dinner. The person we talked to said that all of the tables inside were booked but that we could sit outside on the patio. We showed up at the time we asked for, stood around at the door for several minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge that we were there.... More

This is our third trip through Cheyenne and each time we stop here for dinner. The menu changes with the seasons so even if I say to get the veal shank it may not be on the menu, but what ever is on the menu will be delicious, cooked properly and served with panache. The wine list is quite good,... More

We spent a night in Cheyenne and decided to try this bistro which has rave reviews on Trip Advisors. As it was a Saturday (July 25th), fearing it might gets busy, I phoned at 7 pm to book a table. I was told that there weren't tables available inside at the moment but that I could eat on the patio.... More

The nicest place in Cheyenne does not disappoint. We were a party of 4, seated quickly, staff was very friendly. Food was prompt, hot, and very tasty. Will return again if we return to Cheyenne.

We were told this is the only restaurant in town that needs a dinner reservation. We were not disappointed. Excellent meals ($$$). Must try if you are in Cheyenne.

We had a scrumptious meal at Morris House Bistro. Situated on a residential side street is the former home of Esther Hobart Morris, the first woman justice of the peace in Wyoming, if not the nation. Over a century old, it is graced by wooden floors, antique furnishings and a beautiful porch. The menu reflects the southern roots of the... More

This was our first visit to the Morris House and the first night of their summer menu which changes every three months. We tried the melon and cheese plate appetizer which was excellent. For entrées, we had the shrimp & grits and the ribeye steak. Both were good. The grits were done to perfection with just a little heat. The... More
