Fun atmosphere, but food nothing special

Was in town for work and was able to meet some local friends picked this place for lunch. Staff quick and friendly, but food just ok. Chicken tenders were gigantic....looked like small chicken breasts. I'm not going... More

Unfortunately, one case of serving RAW hamburger meat to everyone at the table, THEN having to be ASKED to remove the completely NON-EDIBLE meals from the check means that Johnny J's has lost the business of a long-time frequent diner/ loyal patron. For the record, I paid for the other food AND I tipped the waitress on the original bill... More

Manager came to our table to personally thank us for a a 1st time visit and invite us back. Service is excellent - ask for Tanner - he is knowledgeable of the menu items and Elis awesome! We had sampler platter, buffalo chicken salad with house made buffalo sauce and liver and onions! It was great! Great tunes from the... More

The 50's Decor is expected but the quality of the food was up to date. Great hand made burgers that are actually fried on a grill instead of being pressed or steamed from a frozen state. The Fries tasted like they were fresh cut (I do not know for sure) they were good, hot and just the right amount of... More

This is one of the friendliest restaurants. I think I met everyone who worked there. The decor, the music and the food was just like having lunch with Grandpa when I was nine years old. It really put a smile on my face. My only regret was that I did not have room for pie.

Sometimes you can't find the top rated restaurants and then you find this one. A diner as colorful, loud and entertaining as ever you will find and that covers the decor, the staff and the patrons before you get to the food which doesn't quite match the rest. The food was the least interesting part of the evening being fairly... More

We all remember through a rosy haze, but Johnny J's has done a pretty good job of re-creating the old 1950s burger joint and bringing back a lot of memories with it. I especially liked the music and the memories it raised but, unlike other places, it isn't so loud as to disturb conversation. Burgers are the specialty, of course,... More

Really enjoyed my breakfast. Friendly staff and only a couple minutes wait as the restaurant was full. Great menu and excellent breakfast.
