Overall good, with a couple of hiccups

Paul Bunyan's has processing customers almost down to an art form. They serve reasonably tasty food, plentiful portions and usually prompt and attentive service. I've been to both the Minocqua and the Dells locations. Both have similar decor and exactly the same menu. Only hiccup this visit was the... read more

This place is a fun stop for families with kids, but anyone looking for a good meal should head somewhere else. The food is obviously mass prepared, and although its not bad, it could be a lot better. It is all served family style, with big helpings of each dish brought to the table for everyone to share. They have... More

Though it is before the start of the tourist season, Paul Bunyan's serves a home-style dinner. The menu is limited to what is cooked each day, but it includes fried chicken every day. The souvenir shop is like most of the shops in the tourist traps.

Friendly efficient service. After breakfast we planned a hike at Devil's Lake, so a big breakfast was in order. Paul Bunyan's breakfast is served family style--pancakes, egg, sausage, ham, potatoes, biscuits, and doughnuts. Not exactly health food but hey, we were on vacation and needed to fuel up. No shortage of waiters and they were very friendly. An enjoyable experience.

Expecting lines for breakfast but it is well worth the wait! The breakfast is amazing! Especially the sugar donuts. I could eat a dozen of those in one sitting. You can also purchase the donuts to take home. The store connected to the restaurant is neat filled with country nooks and crannies.

This place is just one of those places you return to again and again. Family-style eating that is sure to please everyone. There is a kids menu, but we just had the kids of our group eat what we had, and they loved it! Good price for the amount of food you get, especially since bread and dessert is included!... More

Read some positive and negative reviews on this place. Was kinda wishy washy about it. My gf has gone here everytime she has come to the Dells, it is a tradition for her. So we went in the a.m. for the breakfast. There seemed to be a huge line but the wait was only 15-20 min :) the inside was... More

Breakfast was served family style. Must have the donuts! Amazing. The rest of the food was very good. You're served pancakes, ham, sausage, potatoes, eggs and biscuits and gravy. Everything was very good. The service was good. Our waitress checked on us often and brought out more food as needed. Nice/fun atmosphere. We didn't have our children with us this... More
