We stopped here because my toddlers love trains. We left with great memories and bellies full of great food. The dells taco and Italian beef are wonderful. The gentleman running the place was extremely friendly. What was originally a stop for the kids is now going to be a regular stop for us anytime we are near the dells!

Even if your not a fan of hotdogs or Vienna sausage please make this a stop on your stay in the Dells and buy a soft drink and say HI. This place had very great dogs including the "snap" on the casing. The kids gave the home fries two thumbs up. The biggest part of our experience was the host... More

We heard about this place last summer, but when we got there it was closed. The owner had some health issues. Thankfully he was back at it this summer. I took some family with us and we were not disappointed. Quality hotdogs and a reasonable price. The railroad theme was a plus.

If I was rating purely on the hot dogs it would be "good", but this place is more of an experience...Friendly older gentleman working out of an old boxcar. I had a great conversation with him while I waited for him to make my Chicago dogs which were served with mustard, relish, a sport pepper and celery salt with a... More

My family has stopped at the Rail Dog twice in the past and had great experiences. The owner is a very friendly man. Today we stopped by for lunch and was waited on by a rather rude woman. I was very surprised how she acted towards her customers. We stepped up to give her our order and she snapped back... More

If you want a good place to eat just off the beaten path this is the place. Quiet but with still a contemporary appeal then this is definitely the place to stop at for a quick bite to eat.

As evidenced by my past annual trips & reviews of Rail Dog, we are big fans. Still delicious, still great prices, hands down the most unique & interesting property. It was slow, but I wasn't greeted with the usual friendly, joking banter we've come to enjoy. Bummer that the dells taco is only served on weekends, but of course it... More

Food is good and the owner even better. Plus it's nice to sit outside and enjoy your meal. Definitely stop by this place.

Stumbled across this place when I got lost looking for the location of my daughter's basketball tournament. Decided to come back as my 2 year old has a recent interest in trains. Glad we did! This place is very unique. One man show with great humor. Be prepared to wait a little bit, but it's worth it! Good food, perfect... More

If you love railroad themed eateries, this is the place for you to have lunch, dinner, or a snack. There's 2 cabooses on their property. The Milwaukee road one is where you order your food from. One side has lots of railroad memorabilia and a history of the caboose. The other caboose is a Soo Line caboose. The owners of... More
