We have been here twice now, both experiences were excellent. Starting with cocktails; made to perfection. On both occasions we had the seared ahi tuna and stuffed portabella mushrooms as appetizers. They were both excellent! My husband had grouper, and I had the halibut. Again, absolutely delicious! I love the vegetable side, with the tasty wild rice. A nice change... More

My husband and I are frequent diners at Timmer's Restaurant. We've always been very pleased with the food and service and have looked forward to returning again and again. However, our last dining experience was very different. After we were seated, we were given menus and a blackboard with the specials. Things started to go downhill when the server arrived.... More

My friend had the Walleye dinner; I had the Scallops. Both were wonderful; my scallops were cooked to absolute perfection. Their Friday fish fries are also delicious. Have dined here before over the past few years & it was usually ho-hum. Excellent service also.

Decided to take a short drive to Timmers on a Thursday evening when my sister was in town learly September. We were wanting fish and Timmers did not disappoint. It was a beautiful day over looking the lake and he plants still in bloom. We walked through the outside dining and because I'm afraid of bees we are inside. We... More

If you are ever in the West Bend area, take time for dinner at this lovely Country venue along Big Cedar Lake. We were able to enjoy their last lunch scheduled since summer is coming to an end. We had meal on the patio over looking the Lake and lovely rental cottages bordering the scenic grounds. A group of eight... More

I have been to this restaurant dozens of times in the past 6 years. They have made some definite improvements. The atmosphere is Timmer's best attribute. There a few fireplaces, and the dinning area is large, yet inviting. The menu selection from description is outstanding, then the disappointment sets in. Being a foodie, I would say the food is very... More

Timmer's has recently undergone some ownership/management turnover. They also did a fairly extensive remodel. The NEW Timmer's is open and as good, if not better, than ever. The up-north feelings I get here are great. The grounds on the lake are well kept, so walking around before or after dinner is a must. And it couldn't be a better place... More

Recommended by friends, we took the drive out to West Bend and Bid Cedar Lake for the Friday Fish Fry. EVERYTHING was excellent. The drinks, the view on the patio, the rolls, the potato pancakes, the coleslaw and especially the beer batter fish. You can order how many pieces of fish you want. I had 2 and it was just... More

I had the pleasure of dining at Timmer's in July. We had great drinks at the bar. We ate out on their beautiful patio. Beer batter fish or Corn flake breaded fish(you get to order how many pieces of fish you want-I ordered 1 piece, not huge-with everything else-just enough!!), potato pancakes (I had these-served with applesauce), fries or baked,... An absolutely lovely setting on Big Cedar Lake in southern Wisconsin. Such a vacation feel, although just 1/2 hour from Milwaukee. Good food, friendly staff, hustling service, reasonably priced, occasional musical entertainment. Outside seating is so relaxing near the lake and cabins. Even in winter, the log cabin decor and feel of the interior is a virtual escape. A real... More
