Our first time was awesome

O' so yummy. the best ever!! We purchased a coupon on Groupon. wasn't sure what to expect. It was little pricey but, well worth it. you get what you pay for. Portion sizes we're spot on. Appetizers we're tasty. Soups we're definitely homemade. No can soup here. We both ordered steaks. I had the... read more

Our group shared four very different dinner selections, all of which were good, but not spectacular. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, perfect for a romantic meal if you want to afford it. Check out the menu and pictures online. It was a good one time experience for us.

I really like this place for quiet dining or a romantic outing. Steaks are great. Setting is upscale but not formal. A bit pricey for most budgets, $30 steaks.

Tried the Poplar Inn for dinner tonight. Quaint building, very friendly staff. We were seated immediately, didn't go upstairs to the bar ( I'd like to check it out next time). Cocktails were delivered quickly, and were delicious. Salad was good, better than average, but not memorable. 3 of the 4 at our table ordered steak, I opted for mahi... More

Our family of four had a 18 oz. t-bone steak, two 6 oz filets, and spinach ravioli all of which were truly superb. The dishes were prepared with extra attention to flavorings. We all wanted dessert but were too stuffed to have any. The interior of the restaurant is quaint and restful and further enhances the dining experience. Excellent waitstaff... More

The Poplar Inn in West Bend is excellent. The entire staff are always very friendly and helpful. No one is in a hurry. The food is excellent, nice menu and everything is served in a timely manner. Great wine list even if you want to order by the glass. Will return many times again.

First visit to this historical location. Quaint cream city brick exterior. Upon entering instant step back to early colonial atmosphere. Low lighting and original wide plank flooring. Warm greeting by front staff. Restaurant had white linen table cloths and soft table flickering candles. Two story restaurant with bar on the upper level with more tables for private parties. Outdoor patio... More

The Poplar Inn is a favorite for dinner on their patio during the summer, and when it is snowing, the dining room is warm and inviting. The wine list has some interesting and unique choices. The menu has several interesting choices. My date had Brandied Chicken with Tomatoe Rissoto, and I had Seared Ahi Tuna with a splash of wasabi... More

There were empty tables, yet they wouldn't seat us. They took our order and 15 minutes later said, "Would you like bread?" My reply (to myself), "Of course, we're hungry." Then, we sat around and looked at one another for quite some time. It was if they dragged out the food service to seem like we were dining at some... More

We went with a group of four and the food for all of us was amazing. I highly recommend the students they are made to perfection with a large variety of types available. Save room for dessert they are wonderful too.
