My husband and I have been to many Fish Fries and always come back to Timmer's Resort. They are the most consistant with want they serve and we have never been disappointed. they also have a nice range in other entree as well and serve Sunday Brunch, which also are very good. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and the food... More

I dine out quite frequently and love to try new unique menu items and places. I had never heard of Timmer's Resort until receiving a flyer for the place in my mailbox so we tried it out. While it takes a bit of a long time to get a table (that's a good sign of a place doing well) -... More

Where do I begin? My husband and I went in as newlyweds on a Saturday night. When we went in, we were given the stinkeye for not having a reservation, but were told they would "make room" for us. We got a drink at the bar, where my husband was served first, and I waited about five minutes after he... More

My wife and I took two of our adult children out for a nice evening at Timmer's on New Years Eve and it was a wonderful experience. They had a special menu including an appetizer buffet, a choice of soups, salads, entrees, and desserts. My wife and I had the prime rib, rare to medium rare, and they were perfect.... More

After looking at their menu and a whole page devoted to Saturday prime rib dinner, we were told that they had run out. Also, the lobster bisque was gone. We ordered and my Caesar salad had Parmesan cheese instead of grated cheese. Then, We waited 35 minutes for the entrees to arrive, an hour from when we're seated. Food was... More

In reviewing Timmers I have a bit of an advantage in that my family has a home located on Big Cedar Lake where Timmers is located. The location is great! You can arrive by boat, they have their own dock, or car. Pretty lake views, especially dining outside. This spot is great for casual dinners and weddings are held there... More

The atmosphere is terrific at the redone Timmer's - they've spent a lot of time, effort in a thoughtful reconstruction of the old resort; this was welcome, as the old place was a bit tired. The fireplace is comfortable, the ambiance is terrific, and the buffet they served for Mother's Day was very well appointed - many chafing dishes of... More

Finally, a really good local dining experience. Although the menu is a bit small, we all struck gold with our choices. The baked Brie appetizer was great and we washed it down with a number of beers and wine that were top-notch. I had the coffee-crusted ribeye, my daughter the Manhatton filet with langostine, and my son a burger. My... More

They have a lovely patio for dining in the nicer weather. But, inside they have a huge stone fireplace-so nice at this time of the year. The fish fry on Friday was very good, the sevice was great. Nice for families or a romatic night out for a special occasion. Prices were reasonable too.
