Great food, knowledgeable servers, amazing bartenders. And I don't even live in Wausau. I visit here about every other weekend and the Red Eye is my go-to restaurant. There is something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. The fresh seafood specials are impeccably prepared. The pizzas are incredible. No deep fryer here, the food is healthy and fresh. Atmosphere... We dined at Red Eye over MLK weekend with a party of 9. The food was solid across the board and the craft beer was decent. The service was attentive and the bar was hopping. Would definitely return.

Of course it's bitter could in Wisconsin in early January so we were looking for warm, comfort food. Our daughter told us of the place awhile ago, but we hadn't had opportunity to go until the other night. Place is located just east of downtown area, not out in the newer retail shopping arterial. On street and off street parking... More

Great food, good craft beer, fun atmosphere, and pleasant service made our New Year's Eve dinner here wonderful. Ages 12 to 50+ all had no problems finding menu items to their liking...even the foodies in the group couldn't help ooing and aahing over the brie and mushroom bisque...it was divine! Flights of craft beer for the adults with enough variety... More

Me and the person were heading home after vacation and passed through Wausau. The "bad" reviews on Yelp were the kind that made us want to try it: the food was really flavorful and I don't like that. My waitress forgot something and I am mad. I didn't ask again or try to fix it but I hate her! So... More

Who doesn't! Love pizza and beer? No brainer...dive in both feet ,let's go! The caveat, we went Friday january 2, right at 6p.m. Ok we expected a wait. New Years revellers trying to push the party a few more days.. Relatives who refuse to go home. There is also a sizable ski resort which I'm sure stimulates the local pockets.... More

We had great service and great food. 5 of us, ages 9-60 dined here and everyone liked their food. We primarily had sandwiches. Parmesan Tater Tots were delicious.

We love the feel of this place. The decor is trendy without the uppity feeling. You can go in jeans, casual or dressy clothes. The food is wonderful and the brewed beer is really good. Try the coconut stout. YUM!

Its okay but not great. Yes, it is crowded as being one of the breweries in a small town. But it can improve a lot. The food and drinks are pretty much standard.
