My father always said, "Always check the windows in a restaurant, because if the owner is detailed enough to make sure the windows are clean then you've come to a well run establishment." Cronies windows are gleaming......great place for breakfast....they give you TALL mugs of hot coffee and meals are tasty. Try the cinnamon roll....made fresh daily.....all bakery items are... More

Good food and service. Try the fried sauerkraut balls --- truly delicious! The patio provided a delightful summer evening to enjoy with friends..

We come to Waupaca a few times a year. Always make this one of our can't miss for breakfast or lunch. The food is always great, service is always friendly and welcoming. The coffee is fantastic. It definitely has a small town feel about it. Put this place on your to do list for sure!

I have only had breakfast here- the pancakes are HUGE! not to mention delicious. The atmosphere is friendly. However, I was not at impressed with the service. The food takes a super long time! we waited over an hour the first time. The second time, I waited 25 minutes. When you get the check, I have had to walk up... More

This restaurant has very good fresh coffee. The service is hit-or-miss. Sometimes quick, sometimes we wonder what our server is doing because they are all around but not at our table. The food is usually pretty good but not always. It seems the new owner is more concerned about her cupcakes then running a good restaurant because some of the... More

We discovered Cronies several years ago when looking for a place to eat on our way to an annual gathering about an hour away and we have visited every year since! We were so pleased to find a locally-owned restaurant with healthy and delicious choices. This is not your typical small-town restaurant. We are tea drinkers, so I can't vouch... More

Stopped here on a rainy Monday morning after camping at Hartman Creek. The place is very small and cozy with an eclectic "50's diner meets quaint coffee shop" atmosphere. We appreciated the internet connection and the excellent coffee selection. Very friendly service and the pancakes and french toast were wonderful. I did notice that the menu had some really fantastic... More

A very friendly place with good coffee and plentiful refills. Cute décor and speedy service. I ordered an apple walnut scone, but would not do it again--quite bland and doughy. But maybe I'm too picky! My friends ate the zucchini muffins and a gigantic reeses pieces cookie and raved about them. Overall-- recommend!
