The Shining Jewel in the "Triple Crown" !

Friends invited us out to a Friday Wisconsin fish fry and selected the Gasthaus. The Gasthaus is owned and operated by the Weissgerber family, who also own the Seven Seas in Hartland, overlooking Nagawicka Lake, and the Golden Mast in Okauchee, overlooking Okauchee Lake. Food was too salty and overpriced. Very disappointed. Would not recommend. Cobwebs hanging from the light fixtures.

While visiting the HD Museum, we wanted to eat at a good German Restaurant, and we found a GREAT one. The Spatzel was amazing, the bier was good and the wine was fantastic!! What a great atmosphere and amazing food.

Weissgerber's chain of restaurants are always excellent with their service and food. I have taken family and friends over the years and love the fine dining experience close to home. Highly recommend if you have not dined here!

Haven't been here for awhile and decided on carry out fish dinners. Ordering was quick and in a few minutes we had our carry outs. My wife had the baked cod and I had the fried. Both came with French fries, potato pancakes, coleslaw, potato salad and salted rye bread. Plenty of tarter sauce and applesauce. Everything was perfect. Nice... More

We dined on a delicious bratwurst appetizer with superb German mustards, Dinner was excellent: perfectly grilled and deboned whole trout; rouladen with yummy red cabbage and outstanding German potato salad. Service was top notch at widely spaced white linen tables and the decor was quintessential German Gasthaus! The highlight of our visit.

This building is a treasure. The workmanship that went in to making it is amazing. Bartenders are always amiable and service is quick. We have eaten here for Friday fish, Thanksgiving dinner, Prime Rib night, It's all good. Lots of German specialties, my personal favorites are the lamb shank and the pork shank. Bread tray always has fresh bread and... More

Weissgerber’s knows good German cooking. We started with drinks, German wine and an excellent Wiess beer served on tap. After placing our orders for dinner, our server brought us a bread basket which contained not only different kinds of bread but also 3 hot pretzels. This went perfectly with my beer. For dinner I ordered the Pork Shank – it... More

We just returned from an outstanding dinner at what I believe is arguably the best German restaurant in the area. There was good selection if biers (many on tap) and German wines here. Our glasses were brimming when served in large glasses. The bread basket was large and contained three 3 different types of fine bread and rolls, as well... More
