In downtown Twin Lakes. The broasted chicken and the specials are quite tasty. An old-fashioned resort area bar adjoins the dining room. The salads are fresh and the bread home-baked. The best is when you get the bill - it is very reasonably priced.

We traveled to Twin Lakes WI. last Sunday for breakfast and what a surprise for me. I've only had French toast like this is Charleston SC. in a small café. What makes this toast special is the cinnamon, caramel, and thick slices of bread dipped in a combination of corn flakes and then deep fried. Yes, I just said deep... More

We had to try a Fish Fry in Wisconsin on a Friday Night. We had a nice fish dinner with all 5 of us getting exactly what we wanted. The Spotted Cow beer was good, but the fish was better.

On a Saturday night we were able to eat Perch and Bluegill along with Potato Pancakes. The fish were fried just right and the Potato Pancakes were excellent. They were homemade with parsley, onions and fries just right. It is great to be able to get a Fish fry on a day other than Friday.

Went there for breakfast with a group of 20. They were very accommodating to find us a large table of 16 and a small table of 4. The wait was not horrible considering the amount of people we had. However,12 of us who ordered eggs over easy or over medium got them over hard. Also one in our group asked... More

Went to Mad Dan's on a recommendation for their fish fry, and was not disappointed. Wait time was about 30 minutes, but it was worth the wait! Had the All You Can Eat Combo... for $9.95. Good food for that price! I upgraded my chicken to white meat. Chicken and fish were really good. Atmosphere was pretty good, but it... More

Maybe I was expecting better? Went on Friday for the fish fry. Had the combo, broiled and fried haddock. Fried was good, broiled was very dry, even with the melted butter. Potato pancakes were very good. Next time there I will try the chicken.

If I were in a situation where I had a choice of only one last meal, I would pick the broasted chicken dinner from Mad Dan's. The side salad with garlic dressing, and the fresh bread, are a good start to the best broasted chicken that I have ever had. A variety of go-withs are available, but my favorite is... More

I have been going to Mad Dan's for I bet almost 50 years. When it was at it's initial location on Lake Elizabeth and now that it is downtown Twin Lakes. Even through out it's move it stayed consistently fantastic. You can cut the meat with a spoon, the twice baked potatoes, the homemade bread, the seafood, I could go... More

I have been going to Mad Dan's for about 25 years. It is a casual dining experience with great food. I HIGHLY reccomend the tenderloin shish kabobs accompanied with the outstanding twice baked potato. My second favorite is the Thursday night all you can eat seafood which includes crab legs. Don't miss the Friday night fish fry, many choices and... More
