We have lived in the area for many years and saw the sign a lot and never stopped. Decided to try it for my wife's birthday. I had steak and she had chicken parm. The food was very good. The atmosphere was very nice. Very clean and well kept up grounds. To be honest, we were very pleasantly surprised and... More

Stopped for early dinner and enjoyed great view from deck and bar for drinks. Not possible to eat at bar so went to restaurant which was cute with old time decor and murals on the wall but no view. Shame that restaurant area could not share some of the great views of the water. Food was good but nothing great.... More

Great view of the lake, huge bar and seating area. Lots of lore and ghosts apparently appearing in the old bedroom areas upstairs. Former Chicago gangster residence and hangout. Secret getaway passages. Ask the bartender about history. Also good food and drinks.

I have always enjoyed dinning here. It is a little pricey but good food. Has a wonderful view if sitting in the bar section.

Decor is odd. Food was just average. Of all the restaurants I ate during my week visit, this was my least preferred.

Everyone in our group thought the food was very good and the drinks were poured very well I must say. The only two down sides of our visit was that the service could have been better. When the food was brought out I asked for a side of tartar and the waitress suddenly vanished. I had to ask another server... More

I am not a picky eater or easily caused to write a review. I just had dinner there this evening with family. Do not go here if you have kids. We were rushed the entire meal. I got the special which was filet stuffed with crab with side of asparagus. There was a half spoons worth of crab. The asparagus... More

Al Capone's lodge located right on shore of a beautiful lake. Had the walleye, which is always my favorite when in Wisconsin. Service was great, prices very reasonable. Can be very crowded on Friday fish fry night.

Three of us went to Bootleggers tonight. It was not that busy but for some reason no one waited on us. When the hostess seated us she said "Rose will be right with you." No one ever came to our table. After waiting 15 minutes for Rose to take our order we decided to leave.
