The Black Forest closed its doors months ago. Everyone misses it....not sure if it will reopen or not.

Stopped by to eat here Fri. 8/2/2013. Went to podium to place request to eat and were greeted with it well take awhile since we just got a table of ten. She seemed frustrated that they had a party that big. Hummm, can't they handle that? So we went to bar to wait and asked for an appetizer. The female... More

I ordered rib eye for 17.99 and got an overcooked morsel that I couldn't eat. The twice baked potatoes were good.

I ate here over the Fourth of July holiday and my meal was just great. The bartender was very helpful with mountain biking locations in the area, and since that is what I was there to do his helpful knowledge made my trip a memorable one. Thanks dude for the info the great service, food, recommendation of TiltedKilt beer!

The Black Forest Pub and Grille has been in business since before 1960 - the first time I went there. It's got atmosphere, history, great service, and good food and drinks. We like it for family dining, couples dining or just hanging out at the bar.

We look forward to visiting the Black Forest while on vacation in the north woods. This year we both had the cheeseburger with onion ring topping...outstanding and prepared as we like it. The stroganoff is also very good. None of our party has ever been disappointed. Only issue in the past was the reluctance to split out family checks...we worked... More

It was fun to enter this historical establishment and hear a few stories and see the 'old' pics on the wall. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Very clean and up kept. We can't wait to go back again!!!

We have been going to the black forest for 15 years. Was great when Karen and Bill ran the place. then the next owner ruined the place in 6 months and changed everything. The new owner has brought it back to close to what it use to be and we now take family and friends there again. Has the neatest... More

Black Forest is a cozy spot with a great bar in Three Lakes Wisconsin, about 310 miles north of Chicago. The owners are welcoming and hospitable and the smartest thing they've done is to hire the talented Lori Dick as their chef. I believe she's genetically incapable of preparing anything short of an excellent meal. The walleye is great but... More

We usually have a pretty good meal. This time was not so good. The Fajitas are usually excellent. Two people in our party had them. They came to the table very undercooked. It was like eating raw onions and peppers. The meat was also not the greatest. I had a mushroom swiss burger. I think they forgot about the mushroom... More
