We go there for lunch quite often, but you better get there early if you want to be seated right away. The menu has quite a selection of different types of burgers so I have a hard time saying what my favorite is but maybe the cashew bacon cheeseburger. They are not stingy with the fries either. The ambiance is... More

I was recommended by a co-worker to give it a look and when I found out it was visited by Guy Fieri, well that sealed the deal. Great burgers and fries and extremely value priced for a great meal. The atmosphere was very unique with all the beer and shipping memorabilia. Small town, local hang out. Recommend experiencing the Anchor... More

The Anchor is a fun local bar with great burgers and home fries on the cheap. Often it's packed and there's a wait for a table and an even longer wait for food, so don't plan to be in and out - it's an experience, and one to be enjoyed with friends. The decor is a crazy jumble of Great... More

EXCELLENT BURGERS AND FRIES! this place is THE Best. No, it is not clean and to some it might be considered a dive. But it is one of those hole in the wall specialties that works. Be sure to stop in! The waiting line speaks for itself :)

True dive bar!! Not trying to be something they are not.... Small place with a tiny kitchen that only has the best burgers in a 150 mile radius..... Worth the stop, don't judge the outside of the place, remember it is a dive bar with great burgers and fries..... Tip: order the tall Grainbelt, they come in a huge frosty... More

Looking for a good burger at a great price? For over 20 years, my family has enjoyed the Anchor Bar. Our favorite table is in the game room; it has a great view of the bar, yet it is private. Place your order then, people watch or play a game of cards until your hot basket arrives. I always order... More

There is a reason that people who come to Superior have heard of the Anchor Bar and want us to take them there. It is a local iconic bar with the best hamburgers around and French fries from real potatoes cut shortly before hitting the deep fryer. People who are regulars usually end up with a favorite- the Jalopeno Burger,... More

We ordered two burgers--one with cream cheese & olives and the other a blue cheese burger. The olive/cheese burger was acceptable and the fresh-cut fries were good. However, the blue cheese burger was definitely a disappointment. The burger meat was fine--however, the blue cheese on the burger was blue cheese salad dressing poured on the burger--yuck!! Making a soupy additive... More

Traveling to Superior/Duluth area, was told by many to not miss out on the hamburgers and fries at this famous libation station. Family friendly, fast and courteous . Prices are cheap for great quality food and beer/spirits.

Half pound burgers, my fave is the green olive sour cream burger with fresh cut fries! About $5. During the summer there's outdoor seating, otherwise it's a bar with about 6-7 tables big tables. You won't be disappointed!
