I ordered a cream cheese and green olive burger at the Anchor Bar. My order arrived late and it was wrong. My burger only had cream cheese and no green olives on the bun. I asked if they were out of green olives and my waitress said no. The waitress forgot what I wanted on my burger and brought me... More

This little hole in the wall gets all the hype in Superior. It has been featured on tv shows and written about in the media. The food is very good if you like ultra greasy burgers and fresh cut french fries. The problem is, the food is not unique enough to set them apart from other burger joints. IMO, the... More

They viewed this place on diners, drive ins, and dives and the food was great. Nice atmosphere and the service was great.

This is your typical dive bar. Doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside looks like a huge fire hazard but give it a chance! You will not regret it. The burgers are good and the fries are freshly sliced and fried for every order. When we visit the Duluth area, The Anchor Bar is on our Must... More

We are leaving on a family vacation in July traveling from Southern California to Northern Wisconsin. We have several points of interest but on the top of the list is to head to the Anchor Bar for a burger and fries ASAP after we arrive. Can't wait to dive into my favorite burger and enjoy the place so many call... More

I'm sure if they turned up the lights all the frier grease and dirt on the walls would be gross but I don't care. The food kicks butt! Burger and fries are top of the line. Go when its slower to get better service. I've been told if its busy the service is rough but I've never been here when... More

This bar has great burgers! I had a cheese burger and fries and it was one of the best burger ever! Also if you like antiques and ship parts they have a lot of stuff to look at and some good history items on the walls to look at. The Anchor Bar is a must stop if you get to... More

The burgers here are amazing! Really amazing fries, too. I love the cream cheese and olive burger and the mushroom and sourcream. Really great value, too. It's definitely a "dive bar" but the food is wonderful

It's a bar like most other northern Wisconsin bar. No credit cards accepted, but prices are cheap. Food selection is pretty much burgers and fries. Good selection of beers. I recommend a lunch when it is not too busy.

OMG I can't even start. The atmosphere, the food, the crowd, the prices, the everything... I come here at least one a week and frequently find myself dancing out of sheer joy on my way there. Such a fantastic bar. Cheap, friendly, surly, boat, fantastic.
