Craft pizza, local ingredients. In a sea of $5.00 pizzas loaded with fat, "cheese" from out of state, salt, grease, and chemicals that none of us can pronounce, we offer something better. Proudly using produce sourced from local family farms, organic wheat flour from Lonesome Stone Milling in Lone Rock, Wi, and 100 percent Wisconsin cheese from Grande, in Brownsville, Farmer John's, in Spring Green, as well as Hooks. Our meats come from Underground Meats in Madison, and Jordandal Farms in Antigo. All of our pizzas are created with fresh, seasonal ingredients and are like no other.

Very good, but need to expand

I have lunch here at least once a week. The food has always been excellent and I don't think I've ever been dissatisfied. On occasion, the pizza crust has been a tiny bit overdone, but the toppings more than make up for it. I would like them to go back to their original Italian sausage, but... read more

Only suggestion is plan ahead! Small dining room and long wait on a Sat night so we took our pie to go and ate in the park on a perfect day! A little more expensive but we'll worth it unless you're feeding a group of teens!

The pizza is a thinner crust, with just the right amount of sauce. We ordered the Fat Uncle Tony I believe. The sausages were spicy which I like. The Dinning area is small and was packed on a hot Friday night. We got carry out . Great Pizza at not too bad of a price, under $25. will definitely order... More

Went for a belated birthday dinner; 5 of us on a Thursday night; we got there early, 5:30 and the place was filling up. I did not remember to call for a reservation, but we were seated quickly since it was still fairly early. The place filled by the time we were half way thru eating however, with a wait.... More

My wife and I had the roasted bread - excellent appetizer and the Underground Meats and Farmer John Pizza - both were wonderful - flavorful sauce and toppings with a perfect crust - as others have said it ranks as some of the best pizza in the Madison area - definitely going back and looking forward to sampling the craft... Spent a weekend in Madison and was looking for Great Pizza. We found it at Salvatore's Tomato Pies! This out of the way gem was packed, during prime dinner time on a Saturday night. Our wait was short, and service was prompt, friendly and personal. We shared the House Salad. Fresh veggies, Heirloom tomatoes and field greens with fresh goat... More

Great pizza, only been there for the "lunch special". The lunch special is a good value, the selections are great, the pizza terrific, and the service was exceptionally good. The only quibble I had was, once I left I couldn't get away from the "pizza smell" which probably permeated my clothes. Perhaps the ventilation isn't so great? I didn't notice... More

My brother picked this up for us and brought back to the hotel where we were staying and it was unreal. Absolutely fantastic. All the ingredients from crust to cheese were delightful. While I did not dine, I would highly recommend this place.

We knew from the tantalizing smells the minute we walked in the door that this was going to far exceed our expectations and it did just that. The french press coffee was delectable, the quality, appeal and taste of the pizza pie just blew us both away as did our appetizer the Burrata. We split the Two and the Five... More

My rating would be 4.5 if allowed. The ingredients they use are wonderful. Everything does taste fresh and made from scratch. The combinations on the pies and entrees are creative and surprisingly tasty. If you are seeking out restaurants that focus on the "local farm to table" initiative, these guys are at the top of the list. The few complaints... More
