Description: Craft pizza, local ingredients. In a sea of $5.00 pizzas loaded with fat, "cheese" from out of state, salt, grease, and chemicals that none of us can pronounce, we offer something better. Proudly using produce sourced from local family farms, organic wheat flour from Lonesome Stone Milling in Lone Rock, Wi, and 100 percent Wisconsin cheese from Grande, in Brownsville, Farmer John's, in Spring Green, as well as Hooks. Our meats come from Underground Meats in Madison, and Jordandal Farms in Antigo. All of our pizzas are created with fresh, seasonal ingredients and are like no other.

This is good pizza. Creative topping combos and good quality ingredients. Never would have tried figs on a pizza, but after reading reviews we had to try the #7 Fig and Bacon. Hands down my favorite pizza ever. Restaurant is small and busy, we usually opt for take out. But they have a little area for kids to play. If... More

Killer pizza. Madison has some great pizza joints, but this is hands-down the best. These guys would make a killing on State Street in Madison. You're looking at $17/pizza, but if you're in the mood for something better than a $5 hot-and-ready, it is highly worth a stop for some take-out on the way home from work. The restaurant itself... I wish I could try other pizzas here because all I hear are good things about their pizza. I have to be Gluten and dairy free, so I ordered a GF pizza with the bean puree and Italian sausage. There was barely any sausage on it and the crust was so hard I could barely eat it.

If you enjoy wood-fired pizzas, this is the place for you. We went on a Saturday night around 9pm and got seated immediately. We ordered the Fig & Bacon whole pie (a personal favorite) and a split topping pie consisting of their El Valiente and the daily special (pork belly, pickled veggies, oyster/shiitake mushroom, etc.). Everything was fantastic. These varieties... More

Salvatore's was recommended to us by a friend, and it lived up to the hype. I love how they use local and organic ingredients; you can really taste the difference. The restaurant is pretty small and the service was average, but they do take-out so it didn't really affect us much. I would definitely recommend Salvatore's Tomato Pies if you're... More

I've heard so much hype about this place & other than some of the ingrediets being locally sourced, I see no reason to go back. First, it's a small restaurant, so only maybe a dozen tables, horrible accustics, so it's very loud & it took 5 minutes of standing waiting to be acknowledged & another 5 minutes to actually pay... First of all, it's not a chain. Secondly, they use mostly local ingredients on their pizza. I literally could not believe how good this pizza was when I first tried it. It's absolutely the closest to a perfect pizza that I've ever had. They can get annoyingly busy on weekends(Dined in one Friday night and waited a solid 45 minutes... More

We love the fact that the ingredients are mostly local and certified organic. Salvatore's supports local farmers and the local economy. The taste and service are A+. We won't go anywhere else for pizza!

5 days before eating at Salvatore's I was listening to NPR/Michael Feldman's WHAT DO YOU KNOW public radio program. The owner of this restaurant was a guest on the show and talked about his pizza (tomato pie). I knew we would be driving from AZ to WI in a few days and thought how nice it would be to stop... More

Very good tomato pie. We went on a Friday night...and be willing to wait. By 7:30 pm there was a 1.5 hr wait.
