We had the hamburgers twice. The first as take-out eaten on the lake shore. I had to have another, which we ate in.Both times perfectly cooked, medium rare on really good toasted buns. The last meal we had there was breakfast. I had the Country Benedict and American Fries. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The gravy... More

Love the people, the atmosphere and the food! This is the new Sandpiper. Please say hi to Rosemary and Cassie on Tuesday morning.

Well, the beginning of the dinner was nice. Our bartender was a hoot and a half and knew how to make drinks quite well. We ordered our meals and then went to sit in one of the massive booths that they have. I ordered a box car and my burger patty was like shoe leather and the brat patty beneath... More

Wrote a great review of this place based on the broasted porkchops but the last time i was there they had declined. Service was slow and the broasted chicken my wife ordered was disappointing too. I have to down rate this place to average.

The menu has been updated and is very good. Always a good drink, good company and great service! A wonderful local place to visit.

Used to be reasonably priced and worth the stop. Not anymore. Northern Door prices for sub par bar food. Friends of ours (who are not gay) were reprimanded for sitting next to each other and exchanging cheek kisses. Waitress came by to tell them "it's not that kind of place." Didn't know dive bars had PDA tolerance levels...

Very charming place. The food was really good. Definitely worth stopping at if you like good food. They are now serving breakfasts, which ties it nicely to the inn next door.

Stopped here for breakfast after a morning paddle on Clark Lake. Yes - the Sandpiper breakfast has returned. All those great skillet dishes are now available at Mike's. The Sandpiper was one of our favaorite spots for breakfast - now that they are closed it looks like Mike's will be added to the list. Service was friendly and food was... More

This old time pub is actually pretty far north of Sturgeon Bay in Jacksonport. Three couples from down south arrived in Door County at 9:00 PM in late July after a long drive from Traverse Bay, MI. About the only place we could find to get a late bite was Mike's located in an old house beside the highway next... More

Service was friendly and the food was fine, but nothing special. The french fries were not good, which was strange for a pub/bar as expected better. Burgers and fish sandwiches were fine.
