Over Thanksgiving weekend, my wife and I found ourselves in Sturgeon Bay around dinner time on a slow Saturday. Sturgeon Bay appears to not have many dining options unless your appetite consists of fast food. Figuring that most pubs have good food, we decided to proceed inside (after seeing their chalk board menu from the outside glass on the door).... More

The most charming bartender waited on us and our friends. She is truly dedicated to customer service and with a smile.

Come in once a year to watch the Badgers on the Saturday before our Packer game tickets. Lots of nostalgia, nice family business and good drinks. Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5, is last year they gave out Jell-O shots in syringes with each touchdown, and this year nothing. Bummer.

All staff are trained to make an amazing Bloody Mary. We went on a Friday afternoon and experienced these bloodies and amazing service from Jeanine and Laura. They even shared some spooky history about the iconic place.

Happened upon The Nautical Inn. We were not familiar with Sturgeon Bay and where just looking for a place to grab a bite to eat for dinner that was not high end nor a bar. The Nautical Inn seemed to fit the bill. The menu is basic dinner fare from a selection of appetizers, entrees, wraps, sandwiches, pasta and fish... More

The food at the Nautical Inn was average at best, but it was nice to have a limited salad and soup bar included with the meal. Service was prompt and friendly. Décor of the restaurant portion is warm (wooden paneled to look like a ship's interior).

We decided to experience what we had heard was the oldest restaurant in town. It's got an 1886 fireplace, historical charm and memorabilia, a lot of beautiful dark wood, arched doorways, an impressive collection of ring buoy life preservers with photos of the ships they're from, and the staff is friendly and they enjoy sharing stories. We had a very... More

we had burgers and chicken strips. the chicken strips are enough to share. The server was so nice and she was the only one there but we never waited for anything. She even took the time to show us old menus on the walls.

We stopped in as our first meal in Door County, on a whim. the waitress was friendly but the food was not very good. the fish seemed frozen/re-heated, the buffet was very low quality and the overall atmosphere just says old. Not a place I would visit again.
