Foodies looking for inspired, creative dining featuring excellent ingredients and the work of an outstanding chef can sometimes find themselves with very limited choices in north central Wisconsin. That's why we were so excited to find a top-flight tapas menu that competes with some of the best that we've enjoyed in Spain, where tapas rules. The cuisine at Father Fats... More

On a recent road trip I decided to give Father Fats a try. I assumed since Christian and Leah are running the show, it would definitely be different. I like the tapas concept, small dishes to nosh on while you drink and chit chat amongst friends. The place has a contemporary decor with eclectic music playing in the background. They... More

This is a tapas-style restaurant, but what makes it a must visit is how consistently good the food is. Whether you get the fish fry, the cheese plate, or the lamb meatballs, expect the very best. Because it is small plates, you can have it all. If the weather cooperates, eat outside. It is a very relaxed and natural environment.... More

This eatery is located near to downtown Stevens Point. They feature both a nice outdoor eating area and indoor. The dishes are very similar to tapas in that you order small multiple dishes. The presentation and flavors/tastes behind all the dishes I had were amazing! The menu changes daily which adds more to the fun of trying different dishes. One... More

What a fun spot. Many small plate options. Have the lamb meatballs and the cheese board options. Nice wine list and excellent service. A great find in an otherwise pretty boring downtown area.

I am not sure, but I believe this is the only Tapas restaurant north of Madison WI. It was a new experience for me to have all the little plates and share. The food was excellent, the service even better. During the summer they have outdoor seating as well.

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The food and drinks were delicious, the place neat and clean with an excellent waitstaff. My only complaint was the very small table and chairs, not built for comfort.

We stumbled upon this little known restaurant by accident and are so very happy we did!! It serves small plate dishes (tapas) that are so incredibly delicious and unique. If you just have one dish, make it the Firecracker Shrimp. The menu changes every day with a few popular staples, so you never know what new item will become your... More

Father Fats extensive and changing menu, skilled service and calming decor make for an unusually gratifying dining experience. The operative term here is quality over quantity. Portions are moderate but satisfying thus permitting sampling across all courses sans the discomfort that results from overeating. We found unique and singularly appealing flavors, not available in local restaurants with the exception of... More

Interesting place, and most selections are tasty and you can tell it is all freshly made to order. Tapas style - you can have a variety, but it can get expensive if you don't practice restraint. Bar - good selection of beers, wines, and spirits. Restaurant - Most of the choices are very tasty and the service was impeccable. The... More
