Stopped in for a late breakfast with a medium sized group. Sat quickly and ordered quickly, the food came out faster than I expected for our diverse orders - a full breakfast, a three stack of delicious pancakes, a daily special and a special dietary order for a mill allergy. All the food looked good and was given the OK... More

I've eaten at the Wooden Chair many times, mostly for lunch, and have usually had solid meals. Nothing spectacular, but good food at a decent price. I went yesterday for the first time in about a year, and was quite disappointed by the breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros, which wasn't really close to anything authentic. It also wasn't spiced... Went here on our most recent trip and yes the chairs are all different but the food, as I said, is all great. Sandy had a gluten free meal that was excellent so she said. I had the pancakes and eggs (when in Wisconsin DONT ask for American cheese on eggs) and was pleased as well. The coffee was good... More

Our family hadn't visited this restaurant since it was under the previous owners. Nobody at our table was impressed with the quality of our meals and I was very disappointed with my already browning lettuce salad. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. The place seems to always be a buzz with patrons, which I can't understand why! I think that... More

I'd been so excited to try this place out, and I was sadly disappointed. The decor is cute, and the customer service folks were friendly. There's a large window that overlooks Main Street so it provided nice people-watching. The coffee is very weak, and wasn't really drinkable, plus it served with non-refrigerated cream. The prices are a bit high as... More

We were visiting family and wanted a breakfast out. We called ahead because we had a party of 7 and they had no issues accommodating our party. My husband said the coffee was good and the syrup was good too. We ordered a mix of omelets and pancakes all said were delicious. The toast was amazing!

I searched for a cute place to bring my wife for breakfast. She loved this place! Good omelets, and the typical breakfast fair. The wooden chairs of the restaurant are all different and appear to have been picked out at various antique sales... very cool. With the antique décor, friendly employees, and home cookin'... you'll feel so comfortable. My wife... More

We found this place by accident--Father Fats was our destination as recommended by our great server at Christian's Bistro two days prior....and it was closed on Mothers Day. We noticed people outside the Wooden Chair and made that our stop. Glad we did. Seated immediately. Friendly service, nicely timed visits even though it was clearly busy. Wonderful menu selection. I... More

This is a homey little gem hidden downtown. The place is rustic with brick walls and the mish-mash of different chairs and the place is usually hoppin'. My family and I have tried many of the Breakfast dishes and all have been great. This is good home cooking---without the dishes. A great place to go if you are in town... More
