We used to live in Point and often went to the Wooden Chair. On a recent visit we had to go back. The food, atmosphere and service were outstanding as always. Reasonable prices and nice size portions.

This is a warm and inviting place with delicious food and reasonable prices and morning "specials". Our party of four enjoyed a ham and cheese omelet in which he commented was "The Best",along with the outstanding toast from homemade bread, two of us had the French Toast special with bacon and real maple syrup, and another just toast and jam... We found this gem when looking for a restaurant in Stevens Point. There are lots of antiques and the atmosphere is very cozy. The blueberry pancakes were some of the best ever! Service was great. It is worth a stop off the highway if you are in the area.

We were very impressed with the charming, family-friendly atmosphere in this restaurant that was packed when we went there on a wintry, Saturday at noon. Our server was excellent and our food was very good and delivered quickly. We will definitely visit there again and highly recommend it.

I came here with my partner and parents and had a lovely experience. The place we originally intended to go to was closed, so this was spur-of-the-moment. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted and seated. Our drinks were out shortly after ordering, and our waitress did a great job of checking on us and keeping coffee topped off. I tried... More

We were traveling from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through Wisconsin to NW Illinois and looking for a place to eat while stopping for gas in Stevens Point. In doing a search for best breakfast places I came upon The Wooden Chair with reviews from TripAdvisor. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant was in a small downtown... More

Whenever we have friends or family into town, we always try to grab a meal at the Wooden Chair. Breakfast and lunch (especially the sandwiches) are always superb. For breakfast, I always get the eggs Benedict, and for lunch I always get a sandwich and a salad. I've never had a bad meal here, and the coffee is really good,... More

This a cute & friendly place to go for a morning breakfast. They offer standard breakfast fare at a good price. You can't beat the atmosphere though, so cozy & quaint!

I mostly come to this restaurant on my visits to my hometown because it is adorable with the mismatched wooden tables and chairs. Their breakfasts are quite good. I've had lunch there in the past and remember that as good, too, but it's been several years since.

Stopped in for a late breakfast with a medium sized group. Sat quickly and ordered quickly, the food came out faster than I expected for our diverse orders - a full breakfast, a three stack of delicious pancakes, a daily special and a special dietary order for a mill allergy. All the food looked good and was given the OK... More
