The setting and the menu keep drawing us back. The selections are always delicious! My husband's favorite is the Lobster Bisque.

Every trip to Door County ALWAYS included a dinner at Mission Grille. So it was a natural choice that we make a 7 pm reservation ahead of time for Saturday evening when visiting Door County for our 50th wedding anniversary weekend (9-27-14). We were drooling for the Saturday night special...prime rib. We were told they were out of prime rib... More

Years ago this was a great burger place with juke boxes on the tables and oldies music. Now it seems more like a pricey Chicago restaurant with no special atmosphere. If you want to spend in excess of $30 for lunch, be my guest.

Hello, we do not serve lunch at Mission Grille, perhaps you were thinking of another restaurant. We invite you to our restaurant for dinner beginning at 5 PM every evening. If we can help in any way to make your dining experience the best ever, please let us know at that time. More

The service has always been good, and the prime rib is excellent. Sometimes it seems a bit dismal in the back booths - too dark, but overall, a nice restaurant, and good food.

One of the most overpriced restaurants I have ever eaten at. If the food were amazing I could overlook the prices but this unfortunately was not the case. For example, a dinner salad with no meat was $16, a bowl of lobster bisque soup was $10. Had the bisque been filled with lobster I could appreciate the price but I... More

I apologize for not responding sooner. I was trying to find out if there was a reason for your comment about there being "dinner salad with no meat" at $16. There is no such thing on the Mission Grille menu. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding with your server. In any case, we do apologize for the food not meeting your... More

Have eaten many times over the years here and have always enjoyed. The service remains impeccable and this restaurant in the old St. Rosalia's Church is unique and charming. On this occasion I was satisfied with both my salad and appetizer, and would deem excellent, but sadly my wild salmon entree was rather tasteless.

Have returned a few times over the years and come-away asking ourselves why we returned. Menu is quite varied, but nothing out of this world. Wait-staff always has their "favorite" recommendations for wines with different meals which comes across more as annoying than helpful, bordering on too precious. Not likely to return again unless VERY hungry and the car is... More

Dear Gentleman from Verona, A pretentious dining experience is certainly not pleasant. I couldn't agree with you more! I am very sorry that you had that type of experience at our restaurant. We in no way encourage that attitude with our staff. We train our servers to suggest wines that will complement the entree. This is meant to be helpful... More

Our server, Hans, really added to the experience by walking us through what to expect from a few key dishes, then paired our choices with wine. His recommendations were delicious, and a turn away from the typical supper club food we love to order in Sister Bay.

We were a party of four on a Thursday night. No problem with our reservation or seating. All restaurant personnel was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We had drinks and ordered braised pork shanks, top sirloin, and lamb chops. The braised pork shanks were nicely done but the comment was made that the red cabbage had an unexpected vinegar... More
