Fun place and decent food

Ate here with my husband based on a recommendation from a friend. The food was decent, your standard breakfast place. Very busy and the wait was kind of long, but the atmosphere is fun.

The Swedish pancakes are to die for! We've eaten here a number of times and each time the food has been great. Not only is the food very good, their gift store next to the restaurant has unique gifts that would make anyone happy.

We had Swedish pancakes and they were delicious. The service was great and the pancakes arrived very quickly. Loved the gift shop, too.

Better breakfasts in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sister Bay, but Al Johnson's has to be visited at least once. Service is good, but food quality is better at other local Cafe's and all offer homemade specialties.

For many years the Al Johnson's Restaurant has been a Door County staple. Goats on the roof and all that tourist stuff. But the breakfast was quality. While on a recent family outing to Sister Bay, my elderly aunt and my husband talked incessantly of a trip to potato pancake nirvana, Al Johnson's . Of course we went. Now I... More

My husband & I went here for breakfast. Everything was delicious & the waitresses were very friendly and had great service. I ordered the Swedish pancakes. They were outstanding. We will definately return to this restaurant next time we are in Door County.

I love coming here because of the Goats on the Roof. I hate the wait, but that comes with the Territory. We always drive up here to eat on Sunday mornings before we leave Door County (we have an annual trip). They have a lovely shop filled with Swedish products to look through while you wait, and sometimes live music... More

Went to this restaurant as one of my friends is Swedish, so we had to see how authentic it was. It was a mix of authentic Swedish foods and generic American. The lingonberry jam was the best part of my meal. I ordered the open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and stuffing. The whole dish was covered in gravy,... More

My family spent every summer in Sister Bay and Al Johnson's was our favorite restaurant. It provides a unique experience and good food to enjoy with friends and family.

I always enjoy this place. The food is reliably good and the service is as well. (When they are on summer hours, make sure to get the cherry pie after dinner. Absolutely the best ever). On my most recent visit, we went for a late breakfast. The server we had was outstanding. She ensured that the coffee cups were filled... More
