Pros: Good food, friendly staff, and fun atmosphere. The Goats on the roof are a nice touch. Cons: Long waits at popular meal times.

I must say, I'm surprised by the few bad reviews here, they're obviously in the minority though. This is our second trip here, and we brought some family for their first time. Both times here were in the 'off season' so there were no long lines to get in or anything. Staff was friendly and attentive. Our party had Swedish... More

Swedish pancakes two times in 24 hours! Wonderful food, a bit pricey and touristy but that is also charming in this case. The place is packed all the time. Food is hot, fresh and good. We will be back.

I have been going to Al Johnson's for 39 years and getting their Swedish pancakes. We go to the Fall Festival in Sister Bay every year and eat at AL Johnson's at least twice that long weekend. I have had other meals there as well and have never been disappointed. High quality food...you won't leave disappointed!

So you know the place in Sister bay with the goats on the roof grazing on grass? Ya that's Al Johnson's. They have amazing food and incredible service. My family and I were amazed at how they severs move throughout the restaurant cleaning tables bringing out food. All while being very busy and staying friendly. Anyone traveling to Door county... You have to try the Swedish pancakes. Great. No goats in winter, they would slide off the icy roof. Must come back in the summer.

A charming restaurant specializing in traditional Swedish dishes. Lots of Swedish dishes and well as American offerings, enough to satisfy all tastes. Waitresses wear Swedish clothing. Excellent food with a charming gift shop also full of Scandinavian items. This restaurant maybe most known for the daily visit by goats on the grassy roof of the restaurant. They graze on the... This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was in November, so I can't say anything about the service and food in the busy months. I've heard from numerous people that this is a must see when in Door Co. We were greeted and instantly seated during this visit. The staff was all very friendly and dressed in... More

I had a bacon cheese burger and fries and hot chocolate. Very tasty compared to recent years. The waiter was very observant and friendly. I hope the next time I go I have the same kind of experience.
