Family Breakfast Tradition

My family spent every summer in Sister Bay and Al Johnson's was our favorite restaurant. It provides a unique experience and good food to enjoy with friends and family.

I always enjoy this place. The food is reliably good and the service is as well. (When they are on summer hours, make sure to get the cherry pie after dinner. Absolutely the best ever). On my most recent visit, we went for a late breakfast. The server we had was outstanding. She ensured that the coffee cups were filled... More

We came here many years ago when our children were small. The line into the restaurant was very long so we decided not to wait. I have always regretted that we did not take the time to eat here. The kids would have loved it and it would have been worth the wait. A few days ago we decided to... More

Very cool place to visit when the goats are on the roof. My kids loved it! Breakfast was awesome and the prices were fair. The waitress did a great job keeping my coffee cup full! We are going back again.

Very cool place. Crowded. Goats on roof. Older crowds with tours took over restaurant. Nice gift shop. Can't say anything about the food.

Came here during the offseason in April and Al Johnson's was one of the few places open. We have always wanted to try it and made it a point to come for lunch. No wait on a Friday afternoon during the offseason; keep in mind during peak season your wait could be up to an hour. Service was attentive and... More

This is our go to place for family breakfast when staying at our Door Co. cabin. Breakfast is consistently good, service is excellent. Lars and his staff do an excellent job!

We stop here a few times a month. The kids love it, we love it, food is good, and the shop is fun. I enjoy looking over the water while eating and having a mimosa and some Swedish pancakes. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. It is a little expensive but worth it for the... More
