The goats are what attracted us, another tradition we wanted to take part in. But the food will bring us back again. I can vouch for the Perch Basket. The others in my party had hot beef with mashed potatoes and Swedish meatballs, and everyone was happy with their choice. The "Butik" was cute too.

Great fun to see the goats on the roof. Dinner was excellent and very generous. Our server was charming. The attached shop had lots of goodies in a good price range.

We enjoyed getting to see the goats on the roof when we pulled up. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded and we were seated promptly. Our waitress was very sweet and even recommended a couple places to visit. We both had the Swedish meatballs and they were great! This was definitely one of the better meals we had in Door County.

We were on a bus trip and 26 if us had reservations. We had the Swedish meatball dinner. Meatballs, mashed potatoes, salad and green beans. It was very good. We saw the goats eating on the roof. Very good place.

My wife and I ate here at the recommendation of the hotel staff. The restaurant is like a large log cabin with a great view of the lakefront. The staff were very friendly, and the food was very "home style." The restaurant also has a very nice souvenir store. The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is very comfortable.

Stopped for breakfast/ brunch on a Sunday morning. Expect to wait, but totally worth it. The sweedish pancakes are super and so are the sweedish meatball in a light gravy. We will go back the next time we're up there!

I'm always going to try some other things on the menu but seem to always decide on the Swedish Pancakes w/ lingonberries. Not many places serve these so it just seems you have to get them. And if you order your bacon "crisp", you'll get it crisp!! The seating is a little tight - if it's crowded, you'll be back... More

The bacon used to be better at this restaurant, but sill good. The Swedish pancakes are great, but it is always a tad too busy.

My husband and I went to Al Johnson's to see the goats on the roof and they unfortunately weren't out. I had been here before for breakfast, which was always very good, but never had dinner here. We were surprised that it wasn't very busy for a Saturday night and there were open tables when we got there at 6:30pm.... More

we went in for lunch and ended up with the best Swedish pancakes with fresh strawberries and loads of real whipped cream. My mouth is watering just thinking about how good they were. The bacon sides were also very good. The service was good. One of the best part was seeing the live goats on the roof. The gift shop... More
