Great coffee and atmosphere. A nice place to relax. Beautiful mosaic artwork on the walls, too. We didn't try any of the food, but the menu looked good.

This place is really cool. It's below the Ecology Sports store in north Sister Bay and is a converted basement with a walkout. Joel is from France and knows his stuff, especially the cheeses, veggies, breads, and soups. It's open year round and is perfect for all seasons. Go here, it's great.

We enjoyed their coffee and apple cider. Though the line was a bit slow to get through, it was worth the wait. They have a great selection of pastries and drinks that are tasty too. Also, they have outdoor seating as well.

We visited BCC on a recent trip to DC. We were staying in Sturgeon Bay, but we spent the day in Sister Bay, and this coffee shop was recommended by locals. I'm so glad we visited, and I wish we could have gone more often. Next time we stay in DC, we'll make it a point to spend a morning... More

The hubby had gaspacho and curried egg salad wrap. I had a mozzarella Caprese.tartine and peppermint tea. Both came with a small bowl of cut fresh fruit assortment. It was excellent. I just wish we had known about this place sooner- as we've had a vacation place here now for 6 years. We definitely will be back as nd highly... More

Great coffee, great bakery, great quiche and breakfast sandwich. Our favorite place to hang for breakfast. Joel and his staff always treat us well and we always look forward to our time there any time of the year. merci joel!

French baker/owner does it right for breakfast and lunch in this cute north of town Sister Bay foodie favorite. The coffee is great (rare in these parts) and the baked items are what you'd expect from a Frenchman. Spot on! Bien!

This little coffee shop is in the basement of a building. It's hard to find, so you have to know about it. We love their pastries and we really go there for their Latte's - so think and creamy even if made with non-fat milk. Try a Honey Latte - YUM!

Open all year, Base Camp is the northern Door locals 'go to' place for coffee, for a quick delicious lunch, for cheering you up on a dreary day. I've been here in all kinds of weather and never fail to leave refreshed and cheered. Joel and his staff are the best....and his French accent adds to the ambiance and the... More

There is hands down no better place in DC to get coffee. Or a sandwich. Or a sweet. Or a cool travel mug. You get the picture. Of all the beautiful places, nice shops and great restaurants in Door County, we still look forward to Base Camp the most. Well... Newport Beach is up there too :) Thank you for... More
