We recently went to Door County with family members who go to Kristofer's every year. The last night of our trip we had reserved a table by the windows to watch the sunset. The view was beautiful, but not enough to offset the bad service or food. When our first course of soup and salad arrived, we had to ask... More

We went for a date dinner after reading several reviews. We loved the view. But my white fish was fishy, and when we mentioned this to the waiter he told us it's fresh. My husband ordered grilled salmon, and this one was dry, too long on grill. We were very sad, because they ruined our dinner. And for the price... More

My wife and I came to the restaurant as we do every year and while it was busy the two servers on brought the food out timely and the food was great. Some of the diners seemed upset that there was a slight wait, yet the wait staff handled these situations with professionalism and ease. We will be back.

Well, went to Kristofer's for our annual anniversary dinner. It changed hands last year; the former chef now runs a cooking school. It's not what it used to be. Location and view are terrific, as always (overlooks the Sister Bay marina and sunsets). Tuesday evening of 4th. of July week, which should always be busy with tourists. At 6:30 it... More

The only reason I didn't give it a "terrible" is that the food was good. It is so sad to see a restaurant that my wife and I have been going to for seventeen years decline. The previous owners/chef were amazing. Not only was the food world-class, the service and atmosphere were spot on. On our last visit (today!) we... More

We experienced very slow service. We were seated promptly however we did not see out waiter for over 20 minutes and were not given water or bread. The couple seated after us walked out as they were also waiting a long time for service. After holding out hope (45 minutes) the waiter took our order. About 10 minutes after the... More

Wonderful end to a perfect day in Door County ( actually husband is throwing a few casts with his fishing pole off the pier in front of restaurant amidst the afterglow of sunset.). Ok.. First ever review. I called the restaurant 4 times prior to coming as I am a vegetarian and gluten free. We own a restaurant in Milwaukee... More

Visiting SB on Memorial Day Weekend, we were treated to a night at Kristofer's. The restaurant has wonderful views of the lake and dining ambiance. Greeted by stylish wait staff and good manners, we found the food was just as excellent. They have a fine selection of wine and variety of choice on the menu. The only thing we found... More

The hostess was running around like chicken with her head cutoff every time she was asked to do anything and occasionally in between being asked to do things. Our waitress was awful. She wouldn't have been a good Denny's waitress. She didn't know the wine list, what they had or didn't, the menu, the silverware (that might have been the... More

We visited this restaurant nervously. We had heard from individuals in the community that the quality had very much diminished since being sold. We came for my birthday dinner so there was that added pressure as well. This is a very European style restaurant. It is about the whole experience, not just how quickly they can bring you food. There... More
