Good German Food!

We found the food to be excellent. We had a good lunch and then had to go back for dinner because of the quality of the food. The staff was friendly and efficient. We got there a little late for the German band. Call ahead and find out the schedule.

Restaurants like this are few and far between, so I knew I had to stop. The hostess welcomed us in like family. We were a bit hesitant at bringing my 6mo old granddaughter along, however wanted a family supper. My wife enjoys accordion music which played while we ate. The salad bar had some of my German favorite, red cabbage,... More

I went here with a lady of 13 on CHRISTMAS Day at 11 am when they opened. Holy the waitress was great! It was a buffet lunch with a bunch of cold salads of all kinds and a hot buffet with dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed veggies, ham, Turkey, and meatballs. When I got to the hot bar they serve... More

I was saddened and appalled at the lack of sensitivity of the staff while attempting to participate in a funeral dinner for a family member recently! I have celiac disease, so I do not CHOOSE to eat gluten-free. It is the only medically prescribed treatment for this condition. Even though I have to eat gluten-free, I try to maintain a... More

First the good news: they offer a great salad bar and when the entrees are prepared properly they're not bad either. Don't bother with the bar before dinner however. They had two bartenders and 6 patrons and still could not get a drink out. I've never seen such incompetence. My wife ordered stuffed shrimp which were good but cold in... More

I hadn't had a good German meal in some rim, so before the month of October was over I decided we should try this restaurant for a German meal. We went on a Tuesday evening. I called and asked if I needed reservations, was told we didn't need any. Arrived around 6 PM. we were seated immediately by a waitress... More

Small portions, high prices, and overall lackadaisical service... and the alleged German band was a man and his accordion. I'll not be going back.

Being as I was born and lived the first 18 years of my life in Sheboygan some may think I would be somewhat biased in a review of what could be considered an institution in the town. I would like to think, however, that I have traveled enough of this world and seen and done enough to know what good... More

Al and Al's has been around for a long, long time. It has always been known as a place to get traditional German food in the area as there are few of these left. Menu fits all types of appetites and also has sandwiches for lighter fare. We visited on a Friday night for a typical fish fry and I... More

NOT GERMAN-dry, tough, reheated, fatty, several days old meat-NOT marinated, NOT tender; mushy potato salad; thin, tasteless soup-sugar in EVERYTHING; small portions and they had the nerve to charge us $15 a plate, maybe because we're out of towers? AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Us, I'm starting to feel a little sick.
