Small portions, high prices, and overall lackadaisical service... and the alleged German band was a man and his accordion. I'll not be going back.

Being as I was born and lived the first 18 years of my life in Sheboygan some may think I would be somewhat biased in a review of what could be considered an institution in the town. I would like to think, however, that I have traveled enough of this world and seen and done enough to know what good... More

Al and Al's has been around for a long, long time. It has always been known as a place to get traditional German food in the area as there are few of these left. Menu fits all types of appetites and also has sandwiches for lighter fare. We visited on a Friday night for a typical fish fry and I... More

NOT GERMAN-dry, tough, reheated, fatty, several days old meat-NOT marinated, NOT tender; mushy potato salad; thin, tasteless soup-sugar in EVERYTHING; small portions and they had the nerve to charge us $15 a plate, maybe because we're out of towers? AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Us, I'm starting to feel a little sick.

Been here several times and have never been disappointed. Decor is a little dated, but it doesn't matter, the food and live entertainment are the reasons to visit.

We were in town visiting some friends, and our group ended up coming here for dinner on a Saturday. We were there fairly early for dinner, so it wasn't very busy. You enter through the bar side of the place, so we ordered drinks there to start. Considering the great beer selections at other places in Sheboygan, this place did... More

It is just a neighborhood establishment but excellent German food and good German beers to go along with the food. I will go back the next time I am in Sheboygan.

What a great find in Sheboygan!! Well rounded, old-time German menu. The Bavarian saurbraten is just what you would expect. Sides of potato dumplings and red cabbage were perfect. Soup and salad bar included with the meal. Very nice selection on the salad bar. My favorite is the vinegar slaw. My wife only wanted the soup and salad bar. We... More

I found this place last year when I was in Sheboygan for work. A group of us went to eat and this was my first trip to a German restaurant. When we walked out I was so full I could hardly move. The salad and soup bar are awesome along with my schnizel was very good. This year we all... More

The title pretty much sums it up--Best place in town for German, and great place to enjoy Oktoberfest! We just discovered this place, thanks to tripadvisor, and for seeing an ad in the local events magazine trumpeting their "Oktoberfest" festivities. We had a GREAT time there with the music and dancing, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend to anyone... More
