I found Mariachi Loco to good but not great at everything. Service was good and attentive, chips and salsa very standard, ran out of salsa and it was never refilled..I ordered a burrito which was very thin and not very filling, it came with a kind of runny refried beans and rice with a very small amount of sour cream.... Mariachi Loco is A-OK Americanized Mexican food. Service is good, portions are reasonable, food is good quality. And it is run by a very nice, hard working family with roots from Mexico. But it is bland, to my tastebuds. If you have travelled in the real Mexico (Yucatan, Sonora, Mexico City etc) then you know how much variation there is... More

This is a great, local, non-chain restaurant. Affordable prices and good food. Service is always pleasant and the food comes out fast.

This little place is right across from campus....and the food reflects that. The portions are large, but the food is only ok. I ate the filling from the shrimp tacos, but the shells were deep fried at the restaurant, and were tasteless and greasy, The rice was mediocre, and the salad was iceberg lettuce with tasteless cheese on it. My... More

Everytime I have visited Mariachi Loco, the food quality has been consistently good. The flavors taste fresh, the staff is friendly & efficient. This is a great casual dining place - the prices are good. In fact the lunch specials are a real steal. Looking to satisfy your craving for south of the boarder food. Stop in, you will not... More

My son goes to school here so we eat here when we are in town to visit him. The service is friendly and the food is good but the chips and salsa are not fresh. The chips taste like they came out of a bag. The prices are very reasonable.

Not only does Mariachi Loco advertise "traditional Mexican food" (which it definitely isn't) but it also has a terrible menu for vegetarians. We had the potato chimichanga (which was stuffed with mashed potatoes and not fried, like traditional chimichangas) and vegetarian enchiladas which had no cheese, sauce that tasted like it was from a can of Spaghetti O's, soggy tortilla,... We just finished kayaking on the river and this place was recommended. VERY casual. Prices were fair. Dinner for two with an alcoholic drink for each of us (free chips) was $32. Portion size was good; I brought 1/2 my meal home.

We had an early (5:30) dinner on a Saturday evening. We were seated right away. The food was pretty good, considering it's in a small college town in western Wisconsin. It's not spicy Mexican, but it was flavorful. Chips and salsa were included "within reason", which we found humorous! The chips weren't fresh made, as the menu suggested, but they... More

I suppose going to a Mexican place in river falls i shouldn't of expected so much. I do however expect "good" or "ok" in the menu it says enjoy our homeade chips and salsa however those chips are no way fresh. It's the same as old Dutch bag. Then we ordered taquitos. Now these we're soggy and sitting in a... More
