Not great, but good enough

This is one of those places that speaks to you upon entering: "We've been here forever, and we'll be here a long time." The food varies from delicious to ordinary, the service from prompt to hold-on-a-minute, and the atmosphere from noisy to hushed. Breakfast is a good option and dinner is safe... read more

Went to dinner with some friends on a Sunday funday last minute thing, our waitress was super cool, smiled and joked with us, food was fabulously cooked. Thanks for putting up with our outrageous group.. Well done

We stopped mid to late afternoon to have a cocktail and treats. The staff was welcoming, drinks great and wonderful bruschetta. Prices are fair and this place has wonderful eating, b, l and dinner.

There was a choice of having a pasty, but that place was closed for Sunday or eat at one of the bars. The bars have their smoking area just outside and so are not appealing. The Cafe & Pub was recommended by some locals. R & L split a "baked" Reuben sandwich, which was corned beef covered by mozzarla cheese,... More

Had the breakfast special but nothing special about it - average at best. The whole place is very dark and old-fashioned, which doesn't work for breakfast - maybe it works better in the evening. Staff more into themselves than the customers, I thought.

We always go to the "Pub" whenever we visit Rhinelander. This time we had a large group and the food was delivered promptly and was delicious. Also the server was terrific. There is a reason the pub was busy on a Monday night....the food....great choices and the great service. Some of the items may be a little more that some... More

I had been visiting Rhinelander and was staying on the outskirts of town. Asked a colleague where a good spot in town might be. He recommended the Café& Pub. Went at 1pm for a quick lunch. There were 3 of us and it took 1.5 hours to finish. Three of us had a burger a steak sandwich and a Prime... More

We visited Rhinelander for a few days at a cabin. On the last night before we left we drove into town and discovered the Rhinelander Pub and Cafe. We had a wonderful waitress who was fun, informative and patient. The food was very, very good. Beverage good as well and reasonably priced.

I had the pleasure of lunch at the Pub returning after many years. It is as great as I remembered. The food is awesome! We had the meatloaf, beef open faced sandwiches, chopped sirloin too. Service was great & reasonable prices.

I grew up in Rhinelander and for A very long time this was the best place to eat in town. Evidently not anymore. We had 6 of us for lunch and paid a lot more for canned food that we could have gotten at any local greasy spoon. Very disappointing. Roast beef with canned gravy, chef salad with boiled ham...
