This restaurant is a long standing Northwoods tradition. I have eaten here since the 1970's. What I love about it is the menu hasn't changed much. If it isn't broke don't fix it. You won't find fried foods here. The menu is simple. Salad, your only option is your choice of salad dressings, all home made. They put a bowl... More

It has been many years since I visited the White Stag Inn and my delicious memories remained intact after our most recent visit. Warning - if you are looking for a fancy, city-style steakhouse, look elsewhere. The beauty of the White Stag is that it remains what it always has been, delicious food- friendly staff and unpretentious. For the reviewer... More

Everyone who goes to this neck of the woods has an opinion about the White Stag, now I have one. The most unfriendly host ever, this past Wednesday around 6pm. She told me to seat my group at the "table I picked out".... she was mad I asked for a table by the window I guess. The whole experience didn't... More

This is a simple old-fashioned steakhouse, the steaks are wonderful and the menu is quite simple. Come hungry the portions are large and the iceberg wedge with the homemade house dressings are a nice start. Definitely start out at the bar with an old-fashioned, you won't be disappointed!

My family of 4 were looking for something better than burgers and pizza and happened on the White Stag Inn. What a find ! The Steaks, chops and chicken are amazing. Done over real charcoal in their open air kitchen. Make sure to try the grilled Onions and grilled Mushrooms on a skewer. Amazing. The atmosphere on a Saturday night... More

We had dinner at the White Stag June 18, 2014. Loved the atmosphere. We had drinks at the bar before and after our meal. Our bartender Anissa was so good and so much fun that we didn't want to leave The dinning room was comfortable and well kept. Our server Brendon was courteous and quick to take care of our... More

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had and the people who run the restaurant were definitely the rudest I have ever encountered. Normally encounter the nicest people in the world when I visit northern Wisconsin. NOT here. We entered a relatively empty restaurant as a group of twelve and, after waiting at the bar for... More

We have been here many times with friends. We have always thought the food was great, especially the steaks and the service has always been excellent. The salad is just lettuce, but crispy and fresh. The homemade salad dressings are fantastic A bit on the pricey side, but worth the experience in the northwoods.

We went with another couple. The guys had steaks and the girls had the grilled shrimp. We also had the grilled onions and mushrooms. The salad is so crisp and fresh and the home made dressings are excellent. The shrimp were huge and neither of us could stuff them all in. Portions are generous. Since then all other shrimp has...
