We have been here many times with friends. We have always thought the food was great, especially the steaks and the service has always been excellent. The salad is just lettuce, but crispy and fresh. The homemade salad dressings are fantastic A bit on the pricey side, but worth the experience in the northwoods.

We went with another couple. The guys had steaks and the girls had the grilled shrimp. We also had the grilled onions and mushrooms. The salad is so crisp and fresh and the home made dressings are excellent. The shrimp were huge and neither of us could stuff them all in. Portions are generous. Since then all other shrimp has... Have been to this establishment countless times with out- of- towners who have heard wonderful things about the food. I am shocked EVERY time by the rudeness of the bar staff. The menu is exceedingly limited and the salad is a wedge of iceberg lettuce. Steaks are very good as are the prawns and homemade salad dressings but I am... More

First time I was ever here I was just a baby in a car seat. We've been coming here for years and we love it! Steaks and fish always good. My favorite is their staple wedge of iceberg lettuce and most wonderful homemade dressings (which we always purchase to bring home with us) and their baked potatoes with their signature... More

Regardless of where you may be staying in the Rhinelander, Eagle River, or Three Lakes area the drive to the White Stag, is very worth while. The entrees the party of four of us had been expert elf prepared over the real charcoal grill. Whether it be steaks or fish, you can't go wrong. Interesting touch on the salad. For... More

We have been dining to the White Stag for many years and always have a great meal. The menu has changed very little over the years and features great items prepared over a charcoal fire along with a salad served family style. The grilled haddock and chicken are some of the best we've had anywhere. This family run business is... More

The atmosphere at this up-north supper club is great. The owner-bartender was welcoming and our waitress very friendly. The wedge salad is plain, but the homemade dressings accompany it well. The prices are competitive, and their "no reservations" policy works well in a vacation area like this. We'll be back!

The perfect Northwoods Wisconsin restaurant. Oldschool interior, wood, leather, a moose. All the things you want to see when you visit the Northwoods. Smallish menu of mainly steaks. One of the more expensive places in this area but definitely worth it for a special occasion or just a Friday night. Bartender was very friendly and made a great dirty martini.... More

Excellent home-make steak dinner grilled in charcoal. Fast and excellent service. A must dine!! Not a large menu selection, but a great variety of food. The chefs prepared the steaks to perfection.
