Proper pub atmosphere

I've been to quite a few Irish pubs there and here. This place is friendly, helpful (when deciding on beverages), and knowledgeable on those beverages. Some great Irish comfort food and other typical bar food bits. Really cool and kind of creepy historic building. Good craic.

Friendly neighborhood pub right downtown and near the harbor. Open on holidays and a great place to watch the game or shoot pool. Weekly specials and darts too!

Waiters and Waitresses, please stop asking customers how they want their burger done if you can not deliver. "Do you want it pink in the middle?" answer "YES" and a second time yes also. Not even close! One of the most over cooked, dry and flavorless burgers I have eaten and couldn't taste any of the Bourbon BBQ at all.... More

We stopped here to eat before a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright designed SC Johnson Wax building. Ivanhoe's is a solid bar/restaurant like tons of other places you could go. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, the standard fare is reasonably priced, well-prepared and tasty. It is definitely a safe bet if you are looking for a place to... More

Great place! Super busy which is always a good sign, we went on a Fri night and had the fish fry as well as other dishes, everyone was happy! Super nice staff, great place for all ages! Both times we have been here everyone in the place was happy, staff and customers. Keep up the good work!

Stopped in here for a few beers with a friend I haven't seen in a while. Watched some people play a game of Jenga with giant blocks. Several great beers on tap and an attentive staff.

Ivanhoe has a great rustic feel and the food is very tasty. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Try the poutine with curry.... It's yummy.

Do not expect a restaurant, although they will ask if you want to be seated in the restaurant or bar. Both are in the same room, and it is a very nice room with interesting details. The food is bar food, the drinks are good, the service is nice. Good experience.

First time ever - Poutine. That in itself made it a unique experience. The rest of the food was good as were the drinks. Even a good blended margarita, which is hard to find if you have ever been a bartender...
