Kewpees is a great place to grab a great burger and root beer. Almost any day of the week it is a scramble to get a seat.

We stopped by here today after reading about it in a book about where to go with kids in WI. We were taken back when they only take cash but were able to get cash from an ATM. It was interesting and entertaining to see the fast paced diner in action. The burgers were good. They kids were really impressed... More

This is a regular hot spot for anyone coming to Racine! Fresh burgers, fast and inexpensive service. Just make sure you bring cash, as they only take cash! Burger, fries, root beer, shakes, and get there early, or you may wait in line. Maybe we should call DDD to do a show!

The burger tastes good. It is better than a high school cafeteria burger. The homemade Root Beer is really good. Breakfast for 2 was less than $7. Great price to value ratio. The experience of being at Kewpee's is unique. It is a clean throwback diner that could double as a movie set and Kewpie doll museum. There was a... More

You walk in and brings you back to the 50s with it's old dinner feel. The décor is adorable with all the Kewpie dolls smiling at you. The best part is the food which is so delicious. My favorite is there burgers. I make this a must stop when I visit Racine.

Originally from Racine, I always make it a point to stop at Kewpees when I go back home. This is the best burger in town and probably the best burger you will ever have! Plus there is such wonderful history with this place!

I had to travel to Racine for work today. Passed Kewpee on the way to my destination, and the cute sign (showing a retro Kewpee Doll line drawing) got my attention. After my meeting, I went to check it out for a quick lunch stop. I ate at the counter. Even if seated, you order off of the board, and... More

This is a fine place for simple hamburger fare with delicious malts and shakes made the old fashioned way. The collection of Kewpee dolls can be viewed from the counter stools or booths. A longtime tradition for a reason.

Kewpee's is one of the last of an historic chain that goes back to 1923. I'm not even aware of another one anywhere in the country (if you know of any, please let me know). Having grown up with it, whether I am visiting Racine or just whizzing by on I-94, I make a point to be blessed with Kewpee... More
