We were split...

I LOVED it because they make pizza the way I like it...REALLY, REALLY thin. My husband thought it was good but let me have the leftovers for breakfast without a fight. He doesn't like super thin crust and that's the only reason they got a Very Good rating from us. The owner answered the phone... read more

The food is great and the portions are huge. The restaurant itself seems a bit dingy and the neighborhood seems a little run down and sketchy, but it makes it that much worthwhile if you happen to stumble upon this little diamond in the ruff. The place doesn't look like much at first, but the food more than makes up... More

We had a certificate and went on a Sunday after church for their pizza. Wasn't very good and there was only one other table and our food took forever to arrive. Needs remodeling even to incorporate the old counter type feel, wouldn't recommend.

It's all about giant meals here. Better be hungry. The Chubby Burger is massive. and pretty good. Better to me is the gyros. Tasty, and it's like 2 large meals itself. Not impressed by the pizza, not good. Average restaurant.

Even though the previous reviews are more than a couple years old, the descriptions are still spot on. Neighborhood hasn't changed much but Chubbies is like an Oasis in the desert... or at least a shady tree with a well. My husband usually gets Chubbie's Double Cheeseburger and it's great in it's simplicity. There's about 4 pieces of american cheese... More

I've been to Chubbies a number of times. If you're feeding teenagers, this is the place to go. The meals are generous and not expensive. If you're not bringing teenagers, be sure you have room in your refer to store all the left overs. I normally bring out of town guests there just for the novelty of being served a... More

I've rated Chubbies Excellent, but be warned, it's only excellent if you like this kind of place. It's not for everybody. Located in a mildly depressed part of town, there's nothing fancy about it. It's strictly blue collar, and you can't escape the cigarette smoke. What it specializes in is HUGE portions, cheap. Their hamburger, for example, contains a pound... More
