Good food, a little pricey

Jose's Blue Sombrero is a fun, updated take on Mexican food. The tortilla chips and salsa were terrific but nothing surprising. Always nice food and friendly, attentive service. One note: the mole dish just tastes odd. Not at all what I had expected. Rather spiritless.

Wanted to try a new Mexican restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food is fresh and wonderful. They come to your table to make fresh guacamole. The free chips and salsa are addictive. Highly recommended.

If you want to get a good matgarita in Racine, Wisconsin this is the place. If you want good mexican food, maybe not. Service was real slow, if you can eat 3 bowls of chips and your food isn't there yet, that is a service problem. I will say the staff is friendly and treated us well. For mexican food... More

Dined with a large party (over 20) and the staff was excellent. They went out of their way to take care of each person - the orders were correct, the food was good. Just a wonderful experience - plus since we initially arrived during they had free tacos!

Jose's is a good choice for something interesting in Racine. Pretty classic straight up the middle Tex-Mex selections, you taco's, burritos and fajitas all will satisfy. Margaritas flow in plenty of variations. The staff are friendly and love to entertain for birthdays (oh make it someone's birthday even when it isn't!) and the birthday party will receive a dessert and... More

Good is fantastic .love the asortment of Delicouse menue items! Highly recommend the shrimp dishes! Table side Guacamole .yumm! Try to avoid the bar area at happy hour. Full of sloppy drunk morons ! Saw one guy drop 2 full drinks on the floor . The staff did their best to deal with him . For the best experience I... More

Consistently good food and good service. Excellent chips especially when accompanied by "made at the table side" guacomole. Recently had the shrimp tacos and they were yummy. Chimichanga is huge. Great food. Fun place.

The service was very good, but unfortunately I wasn’t really that impressed with the food. Don’t get me wrong, it was good…..but I have had much better. I would consider going there again…but not anytime soon.

After hearing several friends rave about Jose's Blue Sombrero, we finally took the short trip to Racine to try their food, particularly the famous "made by the table" guacamole. The ambience is fine, rustic, not upscale and it was clean. It was full of customers even at 8:15 PM, thus we waited for about 10 minutes to be seated. The... More
