Great neighborhood place

Went there on the 13th about 4 p:m. Was seated immediately and place began filling right after we got there. We were served with a bowl of chips and a bowl of salsa for each of us. I requested a bowl of hot salsa and boy did I get it. Very hot and not much flavor. I mixed it with... More

Great place to eat and meet friends. But my favorite time to meet friends is Saturday Happy Hour at 3:00 p.m. FREE taco bar and yummy margaritas! Warm tortilla chips and salsa too! FRIENDLY staff and knowledgeable about food and drinks...have never had a bad recommendation from them. FUN & YUM

This isn't your typical Mexican restaurant. The menu offers more than just Mexican food and in a modern trendy atmosphere. We have never had a bad meal here in many visits over several years. Food and drink prices are fair and the bar area is fun.

Lots of Mexican restaurants in Racine, but this one stands out on its own. Nice ambience, good service, good food. Never had a bad meal at Jose's. If you have a large group attending, call ahead for seating arrangements to be on the safe side.

Went here after buying a car up the street. My partner and I both ordered tacos - a Korean type and a Cuban type. Both were great; I prefer the small, flour tortillas. Korean type was a little too salty. Good, smokey salsa was complimentary. Tap beers were great, glasses cold. Service was pretty good, a little lackadaisical at times.

From tableside guac to shrimp soup to molcajetes, you can't find better mexican food, drinks (Try a Tornado!) anywhere! The service is always excellent, too!
