It took too long to get our order taken, and a total of nearly an hour until our food was brought, even though there were less than 10 people in the place. We were fuming, because we were up to see fall colors, not the inside of a café. But the cheeseburger I had and the chicken sandwich my wife... More

Stopped in for breakfast and was not disappointed. Really liked the biscuits and gravy, full order more than enough and very tasty. Never ending cup of coffee, and attentive waitstaff. Located on Main Street and open early if you have things to do. Linda, the new owner also makes great homemade soup for lunch......

After driving several hours, I stoped in just about closing time 2:00 pm. Not knowing they were about to close I walked in, and was told the cook said she would cook for me. She didn't have to but I thought how considerate of her. I will always make a point to stop in every time I pass by.

This local cafe was purchased by a new owner last year. I have eaten many breakfast and lunches there. Friendly small town service. Beautiful log building as it was built by a local contractor who originally owned the restaurant. We play Mahjong on Mondays there in the winter.

The Last Wilderness Cafe, located in north central Wisconsin just south of the Michigan border, reflects the great north woods at their best. The cafe serves a good breakfast and lunch menu assortment. It does not serve evening meals, except for Friday fish fry after 4:30 PM. My wife and I recently stopped for lunch and were treated with excellent... More

I must have walked into the place right when the new owner was opening because there was a vase of flowers on the counter with a good luck card attached. Given the number of people in the place at the late breakfast/early lunch hour, I'd say things were doing well. Named for Presque Isle's logo "Wisconsin's Last Wilderness", it'll be... More
