Great food. Friendly service. And the best cheese curds you'll ever eat. Family friendly but also a great place to have a beer.

We stopped for lunch one Sunday. Bloody Mary was good, cheese curd were good, my husband enjoyed his Ruben. My burger was not the best one I have ever had. Service was good, althought the host was very slow at getting us seated.

We stopped here for lunch on a trip to Effigy Mounds and Pike's Peak State Park. We chose the place simply because it looked interesting as we drove down the street. What a great place for lunch!! Very friendly staff. Nice decor with local historical tidbits. Fish tacos were the daily special and they were ever so tasty! Fried mahi... More

We ordered the cheese curds they were melt in your mouth good. They also had spotted cow beer on tap which is a favorite. Very nice place to go if you are staying in the area. Service was good and fast and server was very friendly.

Get the cheese curds, shrimp was also vey good. skip the salad which is the bagged iceberg variety with a handful of croutons. ...which is a shame since they make some of their own dressings. My bloody mary seemed weak and was nothing special. I did like the old building/atmosphere.

My group of 7 stopped by Fort Mulligan's Grillpub on the afternoon of October 12, 2014 after a hike at the nearby Effigy Mounds. We had the authentic cheese curds (not the kind you get in a lot of restaurants or the frozen section of your local supermarket) for an appetizer that came out in a timely fashion. They had... More

This restaurant, located in the downtown historical district, is causal and inviting. The brick walls are covered with a variety of posters and the seating isn't elegant--but it is comfortable. The service was speedy and attentive--even on a very busy Saturday evening. The menu features a wide variety of sandwiches, salads and main dishes. The evening special was prime rib... More

We visited here for lunch the first weekend of October. They were crowded and had about a 10 minute wait for a table of 4. There was prompt attention with drinks and orders being taken....however that is where the good feeling left us. The bar food, burgers and club sandwiches and fries took over 30 minutes to arrive. The fries... More
