My wife and I took a little vacation last week to Prairie Du Chien in our state of Wisconsin. We were looking in the evening for a nice place to have dinner when we came across the Black Angus. From the outside it looked like your typical Supper Club in Wisconsin. When we went inside it again looked like a... More

This restaurant came highly recommended. I even looked it up on Trip Adviser and the AAA book. You can spend $15 on a meal or $50 depending upon what you order. Hostess was excellent. Waitress, Trisha, was fantastic I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it was excellent. The wife ordered prime rim medium and it was excellent. Salads... More

I was here in early August, 2014 for dinner on a Saturday night. When I got there a short wait of only 30 minutes before being seated. The service and food was excellent as always. I come here from Chicago when visiting friends and riding my motorcycle around the scenic countryside that SW Wis. has to offer. I visit this... More

My husband and I went here for dinner. The salad bar was very good with a nice variety of items. There were also two soups available. I never had a chance to try the soup because the service was so rushed our dinners came way too early. My filet was just OK. it was done properly but it was very... More

First requirement met: a great Brandy Old Fashioned. Second: melt in your mouth rib-eye steaks, done perfectly. Third: decent salad bar. Fourth: friendly service. Kassie, our server had a great hiking suggestion for us and we really enjoyed Pike's Peak state park!

Great food at fair prices. Older restaurant with that Supper Club feel. Staff were friendly. Salad bar was very good.

We arrived early on a Saturday evening (6pm) - got a table for 2, but the restaurant was almost full already. Nevertheless, service was prompt and very friendly. The salad bar was only average, but the steaks (we had the fillet Mignon and Primerib specials) were excellent quality and cooked to order. It is a large restaurant with the corresponding... More

Reviews led us to believe the Jones' Black Angus Supper club was exceptional in service & food quality. Service suffered on the night we visited. Even though more than half of the restaurant was empty, ... were asked to take a seat at the bar until wait staff could get caught up. Apparently some staffing issues were being experienced, and... Great food. but, get a reservation. it takes a wwhile to fit walk ins into their schedule. The food was excellent and was very tasty. However, it did take awhile to be served. we would eat there again.
