We arrived early on a Saturday evening (6pm) - got a table for 2, but the restaurant was almost full already. Nevertheless, service was prompt and very friendly. The salad bar was only average, but the steaks (we had the fillet Mignon and Primerib specials) were excellent quality and cooked to order. It is a large restaurant with the corresponding... More

Reviews led us to believe the Jones' Black Angus Supper club was exceptional in service & food quality. Service suffered on the night we visited. Even though more than half of the restaurant was empty, ... were asked to take a seat at the bar until wait staff could get caught up. Apparently some staffing issues were being experienced, and... Great food. but, get a reservation. it takes a wwhile to fit walk ins into their schedule. The food was excellent and was very tasty. However, it did take awhile to be served. we would eat there again.

A little pricey- but You'll get that Old School Supper Club dinner and service. Allow a little extra time to sit at the bar and try their delicious martinis- great friendly staff.

Came to this same restaurant in May of 1971 on our honeymoon. Back then I am not sure how particular my palate was.... NOW I know for sure ....it is a great place for a perfect steak. The place certainly could use an overall makeover but they shouldn't change a thing in the kitchen. This is our fourth visit and... More

The two of us ate at the Black Angus last weekend and anticipated a good dining experience that was a cut above other restaurants in the area. There were crumbs in the chairs. Our waiter informed us that it was his second day and was literally untrained in working in a white table cloth restaurant. He was wearing a dangling... More

Service really does make a difference. I based my initial impression on the only thing I had to go on which was how my friends and I were treated as we walked through the door. We could have easily gotten over the staff's hurried attitude, but here were my two pet peeves: 1. The reservation was wrong and the staff... More

The Black Angus has been there as long as I can remember. It is one of the few supper clubs left. Though it has changed owners from the original the fantastic food and service has remained the same. Do recommend reservations on the week end or be prepared to wait (the bar does has quite a bit of space). A... More

This is our new favorite since Kaber's closed. Still has that supper club feel, good food and good service. We will definitely go back!

We stayed in Prairie du Chien on our 25th anniversary (4-22-14) and ate here. We were not let down. The service was friendly and she was right on top of things, granted it was a weekday and not very busy, but she was not in the back on here cell phone like you see in so many places. The food...
