My brother and sister-in-law from Ohio stop here on their way to the twin cities--not to see me as much as to go to the Tamarack! We sit in the back room and do not even need menus anymore. A cold one and a mushroom burger. The best! p.s. They make excellent pizza as well ;-)

Nice old style tavern atmosphere. We had the pizza, and watched the grill cook preparing some nice looking hamburgers. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good cold draft beers, we liked it. Pizza was tasty and service was pretty quick. Bring cash, no credit cards. We ate here while camping at Indian Trails.

They have good food, and I like their pizza but they burn it every time( Hate burnt crust) they have great tenderloin steak sandwiches.I love the lasagna. The seating is limited and it its kinda dark in there. Other than that we like it.

We went with seven people, the building is very small, but they accommodated us at the bar. They lost my order due to a change in cooks and put heavy peppers on a sandwich that was supposed to have mild peppers. Other than that our party was satisfied. It really was the best tenderloin sandwich I've ever eaten and my... More

We like their burgers, although we have found a place that has better ones recently. These guys still come in second for their burgers...a good pick. It is a small place. Sometimes people are seated rear to rear. ....Friendly waitstaff. Parking can be full at times...

Can't go wrong with the pizza, lots of cheese. Best burgers around and the steak sandwich is excellent. It isn't fine dining to be sure, but for a friendly small town meal with bar service, you can't do better. They ground their beef fresh daily and grill burgers on griddle. Best with grilled mushrooms, onions, and swiss. Not the most... More

This small place has great lasagna, burgers and chili. The subs are great, especially the Tamarack special. I don't eat processed lunch meats, but I tried thousands it was incredible. The atmosphere is friendly.however the place is a total dive, and the owner is cheap. he won't respond to area charities when they contact him for fundraisers. However, the food... More

This is your typical small town bar/restaurant. Nothing fancy, very small, but AWESOME food. We personally love the Steak Sandwich, Reuben and Tamarack Special. Have not ever tried the pizza because we love the sandwiches so much we always order them. The service can be slow if it is packed but if you are sitting back and having a drink... More

If you are looking for greasy bar burgers, this is the place for you. It's not much for atmosphere, it's kind of dark and dingy, but the burgers are excellent. They run specials on Saturday for $2 Bloody Marys and screwdrivers. Honestly, we have never tried their pizza, so I couldn't tell you how that is.

Thin crust, great sauce, lots of Wisconsin cheese! I go there whenever I can. There's a Pizza Hut right across the street from them. Good thing for Pizza Hut they advertise a lot, otherwise I don't see how they could stay in business with Tamarack across the way!
