Try the trout!

We'd heard this place had the best fish fry so had to try while we were in town. Excellent! I had called ahead with a reservation (good thing!) and when we arrived a little early, our table was already set with the high chair. Service was great, and drinks and food arrived quickly. I had the... read more

We at here a few times on our visit. Lunch out on the deck after a long bike ride was perfect with a nice cold beer and great burgers. We had dinner as well which we really enjoyed. There is a nice view of the lake and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.

Delicious seafood fare is main attraction, but have other sandwiches and meals. It's very old-fashioned inside ... a huge kidney shaped formica bar is a throw back, in middle of restaurant. If you are lucky as we are you get a table by huge window with view of Lake Michigan. Has patio seating too. Gets crowded at night and has... More

Our food was very good.......large portions so we all had "doggy bags". Our server was busy but water glasses, coffee cups and soda glasses were always full. Whenever we visit friends in Saukville it is a destination restaurant. We love looking out on the harbor!!

My mother and I were there on Saturday night, August 12th. Our innkeeper told us it was good, but always crowded because it's on the water. We were able to get a reservation for 6:30 p.m., when the Twisted Willow (his top recommendation) had no availability. It was slammed with people (see steve g's review below; as he said, we... More

We visited Newport Shores during the PGA Championship at nearby Kohler WI. Due to the golf event, the restaurant was very busy - even on a Wed. night. We were able to get seated inside right away, and the service was good. My husband had a combination fish/seafood platter, and I had the stuffed shrimp. Both dishes were very good,... More

Even though the place was packed and humming on a Friday night, the food and service were just average at best. My broiled whitefish was tasteless. Don't even bother looking at the wine list (although the beer selection was pretty good). When we come back to Port Washington, we will skip Newport Shores.

Captain Chris from Nicky Boy Charters recommended this restaurant as a local favorite, and his recommendation was spot on! My brother Jeff and I were excited to find "Mom's Strawberry Schaum Torte" on the menu. Mom is no longer with us, but I know she would definitely approve. We live in Minnesota, but our extended family is originally from the... More

Ate at the Newport Shores restaurant last Saturday evening. It was not my first visit, and I'll go back again, however, only if it is not too busy. My meal was very good, at a good price, but the joint was so busy that the server made a couple errors. Ordered fries with my fish and got baked. Never got... More

I have been here a few times but the best day by far is Friday. They have a nice view if you get there early. They have a choice of baked or fried fish which is a must for me given I don't like deep fried food. The baked fish was very good. My friend ordered the regular breaded fish... More
