Poorly trained staff, horrendous food, stomach-churning sanitation practices (coarse hair in your dipping sauce, anyone?). We ordered the lobster mac and cheese thinking it's hard to go wrong with only three ingredients, but we were oh so wrong. Lobster dumped out of a can on top of undercooked noodles and tasteless sauce. Staff couldn't answer the most basic questions about... More

On our visit, we needed to wait about 40 minutes to be seated, which was decent for lunch time. Our server took at least 15-20min to bring us our appetizer. Finally after waiting almost 45 minutes, our food was brought. The buns we were soggy, the waffle fries were luke-warm, and our server only checked with us once. Everyone seemed... More

So for $10 I got a handful of packaged romaine lettuce sprinkled with Parmesan cheese from a container and a plastic cup of dressing from another container. Are you out of your mind? Needless to say I didn't pay for it. Seriously, how can you own a place and serve that? Locals do not go here and everything they serve... More

Best shrimp I have had outside of New Orleans. Service could have been better, waitresses got slammed with a busy crowd on Friday afternoon. Very nice lakeside atmosphere and view!

We waited over 45 minutes with still no food while others that arrived after us received theirs. As others have stated-no visible management noted as well as understaffed. Finally left when "our food ticket got stuck in the printer" and the food was never prepared 50 minutes after arriving. I am confused on how they stay open.

Before the condos went up all around and J. Solem owned the place a few years back, this was the best kept secret north of Madison - great walleye fry on Fridays, good food, competent caring staff... but, it was sold and the new owners quickly brought in Sysco prepared "food" and it's a "same old - same old" tourist... We just returned from a meal at Lakeside. The ambiance provided by Mother Nature was still great but the food has changed. The waffle fries were overlooked and seemed like they had spent too much time under a heat lamp. The blue cheese and carmelized onion burger was so bad we could only eat half. There was so much sugar... More

This is a nice little place. If you are dining outdoors, you are literally right off the lake. The menu is limited- mostly burgers, but the bacon, mushroom cheese burger was very good and the fried cheese curds hit the spot as well. Service was not too slow at all and the prices were comparable to what I would expect,... More

Like another reviewer commented, we waited over an hour for our food the other day while sitting outside and that's in addition to 15 minutes spent waiting for the waitress to first stop. We had 5 young children with us. There's no visible management or accountability. Can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. No offer to comp a drink... More

We decided to try this place out because the good reviews out weighed the bad. Our experience turned out to be exactly the same as the one bad review that was listed. Showed up at 12:25pm on a Friday and sat outside. There was already one other table of people that had sat down just prior to us. We were... More
