Had low expectation and was still crushed. Waitress was fantastic despite starting off telling us they have no ribs or sirloin, we are the first customers of the night. Prices seemed high even in a tourist town. Portion size was correct. Food was OK, nothing bad but not great either. Time to pay and they won't take my restaurant.com certificate,... More

New owners. Now Kusek's Red Steer. Same chef and several old employees. New menu. I have had filet twice and it was excellent. Chicken Parmesan is very good. Kathy and Sheryl are great behind the bar. The tradition for good food continues. Nice young couple are the new owners and off to a great start.

A fine example of the quickly disappearing supper club type dining experience - which should be enjoyed by everyone to know what you're missing at the ubiquitous "chain" restaurants that are taking over the dining landscape. Food is made with care and is quite good. Recommend for couples as well as friends get togethers.

Chy’s Red Steer is a Supper Club. Many people are not aware of the rich history of the Supper Club. Going to a Supper Club is an event, usually a whole night affair. A place to have pre-dinner cocktails, socialize, and Supper. Supper includes a relish tray, an appetizer, soup, salad, entrée, and desert/after-dinner drinks. The experience is not rushed,... More

Last week we went for my birthday celebration. I had probably the best martini I've ever had: a key lime pie martini - YUM!!!! The food was good and the service excellent. After our meal we indulged in two ice cream drinks between 6. Oh my is all I can say. Don't miss them!!

Went to Red Steer a few times and have not been happy with Food. Waiters seem more interested in local customers than gaining new ones. Lady who seated us was tending bar and seating people and not friendly at all. Chances are it was our last visit there.

Tom and his staff welcomed us as if we were one of the locals. We enjoyed some very reasonable priced beverages before Tom won us over with his menu. I personally had the apple smoked bacon wrapped scallops which were grilled to perfection. I hesitate about scallops due to the tendency of being overcooked but these melted in my mouth.... More

My husband picked up a groupon type coupon for dinner so we went here for our 27 th wedding Anniversay dinner. The place was busy so we had to wait about 40 minutes at the bar. I don't drink, but it was a pleasant old fashioned supper club atmosphere, so I didn't mind. My husband felt right at home. The... More

We ate here recently on a week night and were a bit disappointed with our experience. First when we walked into the restaurant, there was a musty damp odor that almost made us walk back out but we decided to stay after being greeted by a very friendly hostess who seated us immediately. The meal started out with a complimentary... More
