One of the best breakfasts I have ever had! Served quickly, in a sparkling clean setting. A must! Convenient,, downtown location.

This little restaurant is a real gem! I had the eggs Benedict with mango pineapple topping. Sounds strange but so delicious! A little pricey but worth it! Home-made muffins we took with us-delicious.

Love their food, have been there multiple times for breakfast and have not been disappointed. Their sauce for eggs benedict is very tasty.

We always make a special trip to the Island Cafe for breakfast at least once when we stay in the Minocqua area. You CAN get two eggs, over easy, with bacon, hash browns, and toast, but why would you with so many other wonderful options? Cinnamon roll french toast, smoked salmon eggs benedict, vegetarian eggs benedict (along with the plain,... More

This used to be good American cafe food since the 1980's with then--- very different, great owners. Used to go almost every morning when visiting the area. Went a recently and the menu doesn't make any sense. It seems it tries to be American, but is puting in a kind of "Greek" feel. I miss the old mom and pop... More

Stopped here before unloading at the campsite. Expected to enjoy the salad bar to be told it was no longer offered. They claimed there were days it wasn't even ordered off of and the items went I to the trash. Really?? I guess people would rather order a salad off the menu for. $14 than the salad bar for $9... My family visited Minocqua for a short summer vacation. We went into town to eat on a dreary day and chose the Island Cafe because Tripadvisor almost never steers us wrong. The inside is very dated (which I don't mind so much) and could use some TLC. The food was awful- we did not finish what we ordered and we... More

How do you say Mom's kitchen without the cleanup? This is a friendly and fast paced neighborhood cafe with delicious food and huge portions. Pick out a table and seat yourself. Waitstaff appears quickly and your order is placed. If we lived in the area, we would be here weekly. Great place for breakfast but lunch was equally satisfying.
