Astonishing canolis, Milw institution

If you're in the Brady Street 'hood you must stop into Sciortino's Bakery. The canolis are amazing, they make them fresh right when you order them and it only takes them a couple minutes tops. Also, the cookies are delicious too. Don't miss this Brady Street landmark. It should be noted that... read more

the best italian cookies in milwaukee….always fresh and plentiful at a reasonable price - grab several pounds - for yourself and for your friends as these cookies make great gifts. treat yourself to something special….not quite like new york's famous pastry shops, but close enough.

One of Milwaukee Italian Favorites. A GO TO spot for Italian cookies and pastry. Actually they do have the best italian bread in Milwaukee. WISH LIST for Sciortino's....PLEASE make italian pastry miniatures.

Their homemade cookies are the best! The cost may seem pricey but that's what you get for delicious homemade cookies.

This bakery offers the best tiramisu that my husband and I have ever had. It's a corner bakery with street parking and where you take a number when you go in. The wait is short, the counter staff is helpful, and the flavor is worth it. We took home eclairs and a few other puff pastries, along with our favorite... More

People love to talk about this bakery as an old-timey place. But they don't serve long john donuts?! Hot ham and rolls are not enticing to me so I skip those. The bread seems to get stale an hour after you get it home. It had a nice appearance, so skip the food and just take a picture.

Peter Sciortino's has been an East Side institution. Although I no longer live in Milwaukee, I frequently stop in for something sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, Sciortino's wont disappoint. The business remains in the family. The woman at the counter says that everything remains cooked from scratch using family recipes. Although I just ate next door at Gloriosos,... More

I love that there still are a few ethnic bakeries around and this is one of the best, The breads here are great, but the parking can be a little tricky. Also I seen to show on this side of town on the day they are closed, I think it's a Monday.
